This allows customers to buy the product in monthly installments with zero interest, but payments must be made within six months of the purchase of the product. This scheme is available for a down payment of 0%, 30%, or 50%.

Commenting on the offer launch, Amit Kumar Panda, the country general manager of Xiaomi Nepal, said, “We’d like to start this year along with our Mi fans, who share a great enthusiasm for our products. For the first time, Xiaomi has launched a 0% EMI offer in Nepal with the aim of making the country more digitally connected.

Xiaomi brings this amazing offer to support our consumers’ desire to use the latest Xiaomi, POCO, or Redmi devices without much financial burden. With this offer, Xiaomi Nepal wishes to increase the accessibility of our products. We hope our consumers are equally excited as we are to launch this offer and grab the best mobile deal in Nepal.”

You Need Nabil Credit Card

You need to use a Nabil Bank credit card in order to take advantage of the 0% EMI Xiaomi scheme. You do not necessarily need a down payment, as this scheme offers a down payment of 0%, in addition to 30% and 50%.

The tenure period for the EMI, however, cannot be more than 6 months. It means that you need to clear the loan within six months from the date of purchase of the product.

Nabil Bank will take certain processing charges for the EMI process, but it will be waived off for smartphones, upon a down payment of 50%.

If you do not already have a Nabil credit card, you can apply for one at any Nabil Bank branch by submitting the application form for the Xiaomi EMI scheme. The first year’s annual charge for new credit card applicants to Nabil Bank credit cards will be waived.

Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco in Nepal

Xiaomi is a Chinese consumer electronic brand that is quite popular in Nepal for its value-for-money smartphones. In addition to TV, laptops, IoT products, and more, the company deals with varieties of smartphones from entry-level to flagships but they are popular for their affordable mid-range phones.

Both Redmi and Poco were first introduced as smartphone lines under Xiaomi but are now independent sub-brand, distinct from Xiaomi. However, the official distributor for all three brands is the same in Nepal.
