ZTE Nubia V70 Max Overview
Design and Build
The Nubia V70 Max features a boxy design with a polycarbonate frame, which is just a fancy word for plastic. Furthermore, it has a circular camera module, which is the go-to design for most Chinese phones these days. The LED flashlight sits beside the camera module, and the camera ring has a gritty texture.
On the bottom, there is a USB-C port, a mono-speaker, and a 3.5mm jack. The volume rocker and the power button are on the right side. The power button comes in a unique bright red color, a signature of ZTE smartphones. The phone has a dual SIM card tray included with a microSD slot.
Talking about build quality, the Nubia V70 Max has a TÜV SÜD certification that claims a drop resistance of up to 1.5m and an IP54 rating. The phone comes in three color variants: Pink, Galactic Gray, and Lake Green.
Display
On the front, you will see a 6.9-inch display with an HD+ resolution (720 x 1640) and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This is a big display, and size-wise, it is in par with the Samsung S25 Ultra.
The resolution and the panel type are okay at best, but getting a 120Hz display at this price range is a bargain.
The bezel on the bottom of the screen is especially thicker than the rest of the phone. On the top, you will see a waterdrop notch that transforms into Live Island 2.0 for notifications, reminders, and real-time activities like calls and messages. This is basically a dynamic island-like feature of Apple.
Camera and AI
At first glance, the camera module appears to have four camera lenses, but the Nubia V70 Max has a triple-camera setup.
The camera on the Nubia V70 Max is nothing out of the ordinary. It’s equipped with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera. There is a third camera that ZTE advertises as an “AI camera,” but this seems like another marketing jargon, and its specifications remain unknown.
There is also an 8MP front camera and a bunch of AI stuff like Magic Eraser and Magic Editor.
Hardware
Under the hood, the Nubia V70 Max has a UNISOC T7200 processor with 12nm transistors. This is the first time we are seeing the T7200 in the Nepali market. However, it is just a rebrand of the UNISOC T606, which can be found on the recently launched Benco V92. So, at the end of the day, it is not a new chipset.
The processor has two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 cores, both operating at 1.6GHz. For graphics, it uses the ARM Mali-G57 MP1. This is a decent processor at the entry-level price.
When comparing the AnTuTu and Geekbench scores, the performance comes close to processors like Mediatek Helio G85, found in the Samsung Galaxy A06—another competitor to the NubiaV70.
The Nubia V70 Max is equipped with 4GB RAM, but there is also an option for a 6GB variant. Along with this, you will also find virtual RAM, doubling the memory capacity. There is a 128GB internal storage, and if that is not enough, you can use the extra microSD card slot. The maximum support of which remains unknown as of now.
The Nubia V70 Max has an SGS performance certification, rated 50 months of smooth experience.
Battery and Software
The ZTE Nubia V70 Max gets its juice from a massive 6,000mAh battery that supports a 22.5W fast charging using USB Type-C. This is the only budget smartphone featuring a massive 6,000mAh battery, and to top it off, it supports 22.5W fast charging — a not so common sight in the entry-level segment
The battery is designed to last for 800 charging cycles, and the company estimates its health will remain optimal for 4 years.
Lastly, on to the software side, the Nubia V70 Max uses MyOS. This is ZTE’s custom Android skin based on Android 15.

ZTE is coming back to the Nepali market with the Nubia V70 Max, their new entry-level smartphone. It has a large 6.9-inch display, 50MP camera, and UNISOC T7200 (T606) processor with a massive 6,000mAh battery.
