Yamaha FZ v3 Overview
Design
Yamaha FZ v3 sports a familiar muscular styling.
It features all of the hallmarks of a premium naked sport, including a large sculpted fuel tank.
The front section comes with an LED headlamp with Halogen indicators at the side.
Yamaha has introduced elements for a fresher appearance. It includes Body-Colored Side Panels and new Single-Tone Color options.
In contrast to the FZS v3, the FZ v3 does not have Chormed Accents on the Tank Shrouds.
Adding all that, the side profile maintains a commanding presence.
The rear tail still comes with the same Halogen Tail Lamp and a Large Grab Rail.
Quite frankly, there aren’t that many noticeable changes between the FZS and FZ.
Additionally, the Yamaha FZ v3 is available in four colors: Red, Blue, Black, and Vintage Green.
Performance
Yamaha FZ FI is powered by a 149cc, Single-Cylinder, SOHC, FI engine. It can generate a max power of 12.4 PS at 7250rpm and a max torque of 13.3 Nm at 5500rpm.
Moreover, it is mated with a 5-speed gearbox with a 12.8-liter fuel tank capacity.
The BS6 iteration produces 0.8PS less power but 0.5Nm more torque. Since the RPM has been reduced by a margin, the performance should feel punchier than the last BS4 iteration.
It still get an excellent mileage of 45-50kmpl.
The safety feature ‘Side Stand Engine Cut Off’ cuts off the engine when the side stand is not retracted.

Telescopic Fork and a 7-Step Adjustable Monocross handle the suspension duties.
It comes with a standard Dual-Disc braking setup but unfortunately lacks Single-Channel ABS.

Yamaha FZ v3 Price in Nepal and Availability
Talking about the price, the Yamaha FZ v3 price in Nepal is Rs. 3,79,900 for the only available variant.
Although striving for affordability is commendable, it is absurd to eliminate essential safety features.
Single-channel ABS has been a safety standard in India since 2020. It is disappointing to see companies sacrifice important features to save money.
However, if the rider prioritizes safety above all else, adding the extra bucks for the FZS v3 ABS is highly recommended.
