Impressions

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will launch with the Snapdragon 625 processor this time around as it was previously released with cheaper MediaTek Helio X20 processor. The device will provide enough horsepower for average users in terms of normal usage. And any variant of internal storage should be more than enough for multimedia consumption. And, its massive 4100 mAh battery will provide you enough juice for a day. However, the user might need to choose the correct RAM option. If you need a smartphone for normal usage, 2 GB or 3 GB will suffice. However, if you are a heavy user go for a 4 GB model.

The device is a strong contender for the mid-range market. It does have some drawbacks though. The camera is decent for its price. However, it still runs on outdated Android Marshmallow. Comparatively, this variant of Redmi Note 4 is better due to the faster processor while the rest of the hardware remains same as that of the Mediatek variant.

If you want to buy a new smartphone with good specs, then go for the snapdragon variant. But if you are looking for an upgrade for the old Redmi Note 4, just wait until the next smartphone with better hardware upgrade comes out.
