Over the course of nearly 4 months, Covid-19 has completely entangled us in its gnarly webs. In this sticky situation, we only have each other to depend upon. And well at first, I didn\u2019t entirely think it was a great idea. I mean, the shortage of toilet papers showed how chaotic we people really are. But a recent gesture from Ncell sort of changed my perspective a little.<\/p>\n

Ncell in response to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis has contributed a sum of Rs 100 Million (10 Crore) to the Government-established COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment fund. This fund is to be utilized in assisting the government to be prepared and procure logistics.<\/p>\n

In summary, this fund will further assist in preparing protective gear, health equipment, PCR testing kits and other materials required for testing quarantining and treatment of Covid-19 Patients.<\/p>\n

Andy Chang, the CEO of Ncell on Tuesday handed over a cheque of Rs 100 million to Narayan Prasad Bidari, secretary at the office of Prime Minister and Council of Members.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmidst global COVID-19 pandemic, every country is trying its best to combat with the outbreak. The government of Nepal has been trying its best in preventing the outbreak so far. This support form Ncell will further contribute to the control and treatment plan of the government. We are grateful to Ncell for a significant contribution and stepping up during this public health crisis to work alongside the government\u201d said Narayan Prasad Bidari, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n

Andy Chong, CEO of Ncell, shared his commitment, \u201cThe Rs 100 million support to the Government\u2019s COVID-19 Fund is part of Ncell\u2019s commitment as a responsible corporate citizen of Nepal. With this commitment, Ncell pledges to serve the people of Nepal in our collective efforts alongside the Government to fight against and contain the spread of COVID-19.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWe believe that the fund will support in procuring most essential logistics and provide essential health supplies such as personal protective equipment to our nation\u2019s frontline health workers ensuring health workers everywhere have access to everything necessary to protect themselves, prevent infection and care for those in need.\u201d , Chong mentioned.<\/p>\n

Aside from the fund, Ncell shared a notice on their Facebook page yesterday that showed the commitment they have against the pandemic.<\/em><\/p>\n
