Google Business Group Kathmandu – a community of business professionals in Kathmandu – is all set to host the second edition of GBG BizFest and Bizstart 2019 – Nepal\u2019s biggest startup meet & expo on December 28. The venue for the event will be DAV school premises located in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.<\/p>\n

GBG BizFest is the first and only of its kind technology and business exhibition in Nepal and this edition of the event is being organized in main collaboration with Genese Software Solution \u2013 a cloud consulting company in Nepal.<\/p>\n

What is Google Business Group?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Google Business Group\u00a0<\/a>is a\u00a0non-profit\u00a0community of business professionals to share knowledge about web technologies for business success. It has over 150 local communities or chapters in various cities including\u00a0Mumbai,\u00a0Belgaum, Chennai,\u00a0Buenos Aires, Cape Town,\u00a0Rio de Janeiro spanning across 30 countries around the world.<\/p>\n

The initiative was started by and is backed by\u00a0Google, but driven by local chapter managers and the community members to connect, learn and impact the overall success of their businesses; it is independent of the Google Corporation<\/p>\n

Google Business Group Kathmandu is a community of Business professionals with a mission to spread awareness among offline businesses about the benefit of the internet, online products &amp; services that can help them to add values to their businesses.<\/p>\n

Why Should You Visit the Expo?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Expo focuses in mostly bringing experts, dreamers and players from the technology, business, and other industry sectors together for one-day sessions, workshops, and quality showcases. In summary, it is a platform through which emerging entrepreneurs, tech start-ups and business ideas get recognition.<\/p>\n

The very 1st<\/sup> edition, held in January 2019, alone saw a 120+ startups and 5000+ visitors.<\/strong> The Expo this year is set to welcome more than 200+ startups and tech communities,<\/strong> who will showcase their latest products and services to the crowd. Speaking of the crowd, there\u2019s supposed to be more than 10,000 visitors too.<\/p>\n

BizStart Series<\/h4>\n

Along with the Expo, the day will also see BizStart- a series of special tech-focused workshops delivered by experts.<\/strong> What\u2019s in it for you in all this jumble? Well, you as participants will be given opportunities to listen to leading individuals of the industry. Google\u2019s suite of online marketing (including Google Analytics and Google Ads) will also be discussed on this subject matter.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also be a dedicated stall for something called \u201cGoogle My Business\u201d. You can list your startup in the Google Business Directory. Once listed, there\u2019s chances of your pages popping up in the front page of google, meaning it revamps your SEO status too. This in-turn increases the incoming traffic to your website, which obviously means more customers.<\/p>\n

GBG BizFest Partners and Supporters<\/h4>\n

The title sponsor for the startup fest is Genese Software Solution – Nepal\u2019s first and only Consulting Partner of Amazon Web Services(AWS) and Google Cloud, and a partner for Microsoft, IBM, Nagios, VMware, Barracuda, TrendMicro, and Neo4j for Nepal.<\/p>\n

Similarly, ConnectIPS is the associate partner, NIC Asia is the banking partner, Turkish Airlines is the airlines partner, LBEF is the knowledge partner, WorldLink is the internet partner, Sparrow SMS is the SMS partner, and Pathao is the mobility partner. The event is powered by Google.<\/p>\n
