According to Suraj Vaidhya, president of United Traders Syndicate the data center will be located in the building that currently houses the corporate office of United Traders Syndicate.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Why it matters:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting up a data center in Nepal is comparatively less expensive than other countries in the South Asian region. Over the past years, Uber has been gradually investing in data centers. The company has doubled trips in the last year alone. According to international media reports, Uber had 2 billion trips in 2016 and more than 4 billion trips in 2017.<\/li>\n<li>According to Vaidhya, this data center opened by Uber could also encourage other IT-based services to come to Nepal. This could potentially be of great value to the IT sector in Nepal. Vaidhya is the immediate past president of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>The details:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Uber, a ride-sharing company, offers services in 78 countries around the world. United Traders Syndicate is the authorized dealer of Toyota motors in Nepal.
