Anyone working in the tech startups intuitively knows that Nepalese women are not well represented in this field (tech startups). Women are generally stereotyped that they should not walk down through techy paths from their early childhood. This has become a self-fulling prophecy for many parents. Parents believe this stereotype and lead their girls to follow non-techy paths. They are often bound to be on this trail on account of the historical minority of female success in the tech startups.

Several tech organizations, companies and communities in Nepal are conducting programs and events to break up this concrete chain of stereotype. On the occasion of International Women’s day, GBGKTM, an active community of tech companies and business professionals is set organize an event to promote women in entrepreneurship in Nepal.

The event is scheduled for tomorrow, March 9. The event is named “StartupWomen-Inspiring Women for Entrepreneurship” with primary focus on how women can leverage available technologies to lift their startups.

At the event, some of the successful female entrepreneurs who have well established their venture will share their success stories. They will share their meaningful experience and insights to the young female entrepreneurs.

As per GBGKTM site, 3 female entrepreneurs will speak at the event.

This can be a place where you can connect and outreach more female entrepreneurs.
