Vivo has just unveiled its latest addition to the budget-friendly Y series smartphone lineup in Nepal with the launch of the Vivo Y18. The international variant of the smartphone has arrived in the country.
What is the Price of Vivo Y18 in Nepal?
The Vivo Y18 price in Nepal is Rs. 17,999 (6/128GB). It is available for purchase both online on e-commerce platforms like Daraz and at physical retail stores.
Brought as an update to the Vivo Y17s, the Vivo Y18 is more of a refresh rather than a true successor. The international variant of the Vivo Y18, which we’ll be getting here in Nepal, has subtle design changes and virtually the same set of specs as the Y17s.

Vivo Y18 Overview
Design
The Vivo Y18 boasts a plastic frame paired with a plastic rear panel and a glass front. Its side rails are flat with chamfered edges, providing a comfortable grip.
Within the side rails, you’ll find the fingerprint sensor/power button, volume buttons, and the SIM card tray. At the bottom, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C charging port adjacent to the primary speaker grille.
The plastic back panel lies flat on the rear, with distinct cutouts for the cameras. These cameras are housed within a rectangular-shaped island. Additionally, the smartphone boasts an IP54 dust and splash-resistant certification.

Display
Vivo has equipped the Y18 with a teardrop-notched display featuring thick bezels and a chin, resulting in an asymmetrical appearance. The 6.56-inch IPS LCD display has a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a high brightness mode that can reach 840nits.
The HD screen can reach a peak refresh rate of 90Hz.
Hardware
The Vivo Y18 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. The 12nm CPU is an octa-core chip that has 2x high-powered cores and 6x efficiency cores. Handling the graphics is a Mali G52 coprocessor.
In terms of storage options, Vivo Nepal has launched a single variant of the phone equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, the smartphone supports memory expansion via a microSD card.
Cameras
For cameras, the Y18 has a 50MP main camera with PDAF. It is accompanied by an auxiliary lens that has an unspecified purpose. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera.
The rear camera of the Vivo Y18 can record videos up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.
Battery and OS
Powering the Vivo Y18 is a decently sized 5000mAh Li-ion battery. The battery supports 15W charging through the included USB-C port. Vivo claims the battery can fully charge to 100% in 145 minutes.
Talking about OS, the smartphone comes with Android 14 with Funtouch 14 skin applied on top.

Although there are minor differences observed on paper between the Vivo Y17s and the Vivo Y18, they do not result in significant changes in real-world performance or user experience. Essentially, the Y18 can be regarded as a continuation with slight tweaks rather than a distinct successor when compared to the Y17s.
