Vivo V25 5G with Dimensity 900 Launched in Nepal: Available for Pre-Order!

The recently announced Vivo V25 series is now available for pre-order in Nepal starting today.

The Vivo V25 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 52,999 (8/128GB). From September 4 till September 7, the phone is available for pre-order.

Both the Vivo V25 5G and V25 Pro were announced on August 17, 2022. The Vivo V25 is a successor to last year’s Vivo V23 5G.

The device is powered by Dimensity 900. Similar to its predecessor, the V25 also has the colour-changing Fluorite AG glass back.

Vivo V25 Overview

Design

Unlike the Vivo V25 Pro, the Vivo V25 has a glossy flat design made up of metal. And like the Vivo V23 5G, it also has a Fluorite AG glass back that changes its colour when exposed to sunlight or other sources of artificial UV rays.

The glass back does not catch fingerprint smudges thanks to its matte texture finish. The rear features a giant camera island with two huge camera circles and two additional tiny cutouts for another camera and a flash.

Unfortunately, the front side of the phone still looks outdated with its dewdrop notch and fairly thick top and bottom display bezels. The right side of the phone has power and volume buttons. The SIM card tray, USB-C port, and speaker are all located on the bottom side.

Display

The device flaunts a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. This is the same 20:9 display we saw on the Vivo V23 5G as well.

The display supports HDR10+. And this time, the notch is smaller as it no longer has the dual front camera setup. Still, a punch-hole cutout rather than a waterdrop notch would have been preferable.

Hardware

The performance of the Vivo V25 has been slightly downgraded. It now comes with a Mediatek Dimensity 900 chipset as opposed to its predecessor’s Dimensity 920.

Nevertheless, the Dimensity 900 is still a decent chipset for a mid-range. It has two Arm Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The number of big and LITTLE CPU cores is the same as the Dimensity 920, but the clock speed of big cores is underclocked.

The smartphone comes in three memory configurations: 8GB RAM 128GB storage, 8GB RAM 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM 256GB storage. The V25 now also supports memory expansion via a microSD card, which shares a slot with the second SIM card.

Camera

The back has a triple-camera setup. The setup includes a 64MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.

As said earlier, the front now has a single camera. It’s a 50MP selfie shooter with autofocus. The front-facing LED lights for night selfies, which we saw on the Vivo V23 5G, are also gone.

Battery and Software

The phone comes with a 4500mAh battery, which is 300mAh bigger than last year. It supports Vivo’s 44W fast charging.

The smartphone runs on Funtouch 12 based on Android 12.

Vivo V25 Price in Nepal and Availability

The Vivo V25 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 52,999 (8/128GB). From September 4 till September 7, the phone is available for pre-order. On pre-booking of Vivo V25, customers will get Vivo Neckband worth Rs. 6,000.

You can pre-order it in Nepal from the nearest mobile retail stores or e-commerce platforms like Daraz and Sastodeal.

The Vivo V25 does not seem to bring any significant upgrades. Instead, it has some downgrades. The front ultrawide camera and LED flash have been removed, and the chipset has been lowered from Dimensity 920 to a slightly slower Dimensity 900.

On the other hand, the battery has increased by 300mAh. Other than that, it has the same elegant premium design with a color-changing back and the same display.
