Vivo just recently launched the Vivo Y91, Vivo Y91i, and the Vivo Y95. These are the new mid-range lineup from Vivo for 2019. So it was just a matter of time before Vivo started decreasing the price of the older handsets like Vivo Y81, Vivo Y81i, and Vivo Y71. Vivo today announced that it has done just that.
Vivo Y81
Vivo Y81 is a midrange phone with an HD+ is display. It was launched around July of 2018. So its already six months old now. Inside the minimalistic classy design of this phone lies a MediaTek Helio P22 processor which can handle most of the normal tasks like web browsing, Facebook scrolling, Instagram stalking, and YouTube binging that people do on their phones like a champ. However, it isn’t meant for gaming.
The 13 MP camera on the back and the 5 MP shooter on the front are pretty standard stuff. You’ll get a decent picture in adequate lighting conditions. Our reactions to the Vivo Y81 were positive because it really is a nice all-around phone for someone on a budget. The device looks premium. The notch is a commonplace nowadays so it’s not much of a big deal. But the Vivo Y81 lacks a fingerprint sensor. And that may be a slight deterrent for many people. Also, you can get the Samsung Galaxy M20 that has better specs for your money at a lower price.

Vivo Y81i
Vivo Y81i looks stylish enough for its price. However, its body is made up of plastic. Vivo Y81i sports a 6.22-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio screen. The resolution is decent for the price. The display, as is the tradition nowadays, is cut by a notch at the top. Inside, Vivo Y81i is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset combined with 2GB of RAM.
The A22 chip performs similarly to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chip. This means enough horsepower for daily calling and texting and a little bit of web browsing. But games won’t be a joy to play on this device. Similarly, 2GB RAM is a little on the low side. So, no intensive multitasking either. This is nearly the same phone as the Vivo Y81; only the RAM and the storage are a little different.

Vivo Y71
With Vivo Y71, are getting SD 450 and a 2 Gigs of RAM. For the price, this spec sheet is good enough. The design is the best at this price range. However, Samsung Galaxy M10 might give you a slightly (focus on slightly) better performance at a significantly lesser price.
One thing that might turn people off is the lack of fingerprint sensor but at 15K, Vivo Y71 is now at a price point that you really can’t expect one.
