Slowly but steadily, TVS Nepal is increasing its portfolio of motorcycles in Nepal. There was a time when the TVS Apache Series and TVS Jupiter were only the TVS known models. However, TVS has done more to move away from that, bringing out some awesome products like TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, TVS NTorq 125 and TVS Radeon 110.
As it seems, TVS Nepal wants to bring more innovative products in Nepal! Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributors of TVS Bikes in Nepal, has announced the launch of TVS Max 125 in Nepal. Moreover, it is stated to be a semi-trail bike with commuter-ish looks. As for the pricing, TVS Max 125 price in Nepal is Rs. 2,39,900.
It was unveiled by Mr. Paras Khadka (Former Captain of Nepal’s Cricket Team) and Mr. Deepak Agrawal (Vice-President of Jagdamba Motors) at Pokhara. Interestingly, some folks at Jagdamba weren’t quite sure if it would be available nationwide. However, it is now confirmed that TVS Max 125 will be available nationwide!
TVS Max 125 Overview
TVS Max 125 is a… unique motorcycle. Moreover, it definitely fits in the realm of “never-before-seen” motorcycle.
It is powered by a 124.53cc Ecothrust engine which can generate a max power of 10.8BHP at 8000rpm and max torque of 10.8Nm at 5500rpm. Moreover, it comes with Telescopic front suspension and Series Spring rear suspension. Likewise, it comes with 14.5-liter fuel capacity.
TVS Max 125 can get to 90kmph with an expected mileage of 50kmph.
TVS Max 125 is a Semi-Trail: What Does It Mean?
Well, a Semi-Trail motorcycle is something you can take away for the occasional fun off-roading experience. You might think a 125cc motorcycle might not be able to handle interesting off-roading scenarios, but you can see it being done before on Yamaha XTZ 125, Aprilia SX and Aprilia RX.
Similarly, the overall component design showcases the ability to take it off-road! Interestingly, the TVS Max 125 comes with 19-inch (70/90-19) front wheel and 16-inch (90/100-16) rear wheel. Both come with off-roading spook wheels. Additionally, the front side also includes a beak style white mudguard. Plus, there’s that high clearance.

“What if I want to take my commuter off-roads?”
I think, nobody really asked that question. Apparently, TVS answered the question that nobody really asked.
The overall design, including the look and finish, feels like a strange mix of commuter meets off-roader. Honestly, it looks like a modified version of TVS Stryker.
This is usually how innovation starts. If one looks at history, nobody really asked for an iPhone either.
Anyways, I have not much of a complain here. I mean, it is unique and affordable for a 125cc semi-trail motorcycle. I just wished they could’ve gone with a high-mounted exhaust instead of a low-mounted one. Honestly, it would be interesting to see how the public reacts to it.
