In a recent Facebook update, Toyota teased a new update for their popular Hilux pickup truck. Â According to the Toyota representative, the new Toyota Hilux comes with a new engine, which is slightly less in comparison with the on-going model. However, it is going to be a lot more affordable than the current models.
The new Toyota Hilux comes in a new diesel engine update. However, it is still going to be a 2019 model year over the expected 2020 model year. As for the pricing, Toyota Hilux price in Nepal is set at Rs. 87,50,000. In comparison, it is the most affordable variant in the Hilux’s mid-range category.
Toyota Hilux Overview
New Toyota Hilux is powered by a 2400cc 2.4L 2GD-FTV Diesel engine. Interestingly, it comes with an electronic common-rail Fuel Injection System Moreover, it can generate a max power of 110kW at 3400rpm and max torque of 400Nm at 1600-2000rpm. Furthermore, it is available in 6-speed manual transmission. And, the entire things come with a fuel capacity of 80-litres.Â
Likewise, it gets a larger shock absorber with significant improvement in ride-comfort and stability. Moreover, the roll stiffness, off-road traction and wheel articulation have been enhanced!

Talking about the safety features, you get 3-point seatbelts, ABS, Active Traction Control (ATRC), Brake Assist, Dual Airbags, Stability Control (VSC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and so much more!
Additionally, it comes with a multi-function steering wheel, Start/Stop Button, TFT infotainment system, AC, Electric Mirrors, Cup Holders, High Fabric Seat Materials, Central Locking, USB Support, and much more as standard.

Unfortunately, it still comes with the conventional halogen headlamp design. Additionally, the entire design resembles the one with which we are already familiar.

Anyways, Toyota Hilux comes in eight different color variations: Super White, White Pearl Crystal, Silver Metallic, Crimson Spark Red Metallic, Grey Metallic, Orange Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, and Nebula Blue Metallic.

People interested in pickup trucks are always keen to know about the payload capacity of the truck. Since it is intentionally sold for that purpose, let’s take a quick look at that too.
Toyota Hilux can hold a max payload of approximately 920kg. Furthermore, the deck size comes at 1525mm x 1540mm (L x B). Moreover, the height of the side panels is 480mm. Finally, the loading height from the ground comes at 861mm.
