It’s been like, a week since the “Bulletproof” Tesla Cybertruck has been introduced. In this short span of a week, the truck has gone from becoming a meme for most people to a member for the Dubai Police Force.
Yes, you heard it right, Tesla’s Electric Cybertruck is joining the luxurious police department of Dubai.

Recently, the Dubai police force tweeted an image of the truck combined with what looks like their logo and 2020 on the caption.
So, why would Dubai Police Force take in the Cybertruck from Tesla? After all, they have some of the luxurious sports cars in the world which include Lamborghini Aventador, Porsche 918 Spyder, A Ford Mustang and Bugatti Veyron.
Well, the simplest answer could be that this time it’s all about security rather than style. Despite the lowly polygonal form and failed demonstration at the launch, the Cybertruck isn’t actually a bad truck at all. It can go from 0 to 60mph in 2.9 seconds. The exterior is made up of stainless steel which does make the truck a little bulky but at the same time tough as well.
The main motive behind this purchase could also be the “bulletproof” glasses on this truck which can withstand 9mm bullets. Even though the demonstration failed miserably for now, in the future it could be a lot handy.
As per a report from Arabian Business, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police Major General, Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri commented that the Cybertruck will mainly be used to patrol the streets in tourist destination. Spots like Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Jumeirah Beach residence and La Mer.
Right now, there are more than 250,000 orders for the Cybertruck. Tesla has announced to begin production starting late 2021 for the single and dual-motor versions and late 2022 for the tri-motor truck variant. So, it’s still a mystery to me on how Dubai will be bringing the truck by 2020 to their Police force.
That’s it folks. What do you think about the new Cybertruck? Do you think that we’ll see this truck in Nepal in the future? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
