Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal, is gearing up to launch the facelifted version of the popular Tiago EV. But, sales have already begun, allowing interested buyers to get their Tiago.ev without waiting for the official launch.

To talk about this particular iteration, it shares the same platform but it incorporates key elements from other models built on Tata’s acti.ev platform.

The facelift introduces subtle updates in design, features, and technology, with the most significant change being the revamped color options.

Tata Tiago ev price in Nepal starts at Rs. 27.49 Lakhs to Rs. 29.99 Lakhs. It is available in XT and XZ+ Tech Lux trims which are the Long Range variant of the Tiago.ev.

The XT is available at the lower price point of Rs. 27.49 Lakhs while the XZ+ Tech option is available at Rs. 29.99 Lakhs. Although this is a facelift model, Tata Nepal has kept the pricing same as before.

Tata Tiago.ev Overview

Design

The Tata Tiago.ev builds on its predecessor, the Tiago EV, while maintaining a largely familiar design. However, subtle cosmetic updates are noticeable upon closer inspection.

At the front, the overall look remains unchanged, but the bumper now features angular lines that replace the previous net-like pattern. Additionally, the grille sports a matte-colored finish instead of the blue accents seen on the earlier model.

The rest of the front end stays the same, including the Angular Projector Headlamps that flank the Piano Finish element on the grille, as well as the bumper-integrated LED DRLs and Fog lamps.

From the side, the design remains identical, with the addition of a Shark-Fin Antenna on the roof. Another minor change is the new “.ev” badging on the front door area.

The rear design also stays consistent with the sporty hatchback look, enhanced by LED Taillights and convenient boot access.

Tata has significantly revamped the interior, giving it a fresh and modern appeal.

The dashboard now features an upgraded Touchscreen Infotainment System, offering a 7-inch display in the XT trim and an impressive 10.2-inch screen in the XZ+ Tech Lux trim.

The steering wheel sports a single-spoke design with a glossy center finish. Moreover, in the top-spec XZ+ Tech Lux variant, Tata adds a touch of luxury with a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel.

This variant also includes a more advanced Digital Instrument Cluster compared to the one in the XT trim. Additionally, a 4-Speaker Sound System caters to audio needs, while other interior elements remain unchanged.

Performance

Tata Tiago.ev is powered by a 48 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 65.3 PS and a max torque of 114Nm, capable of 120 kmph top speed.

It is supported by a 24 kWh Lithium ion Battery pack that can charge from 10 % to 100% in 8.7 hours via a 3.3 kW AC Wall box Charger while a 7.2 kW option does the same in just 3.6 hours.

In terms of driving range, Tiago.ev has a ARAI claimed range of 291 km but the more stringent and practical test of C75 claims this range to be 205 km. 

Moreover, there are 4-modes of regenerative braking in the Tiago.ev.

Moreover, the top speed of Tiago.ev is 120 km/h while the acceleration time from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.
