After the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal few months ago various organizations and groups of people are trying to help in the process of building Nepal again. It was a nightmare for all of us. We all know that this is the natural process and it goes on till the end. But the point, we all need to understand is how can we stand up together in rebuilding our nation. The earthquake that shook Nepal on April damaged many heritage sites across the Kathmandu valley. Government and many other organizations are working to restore these heritage sites.
Photo Kathmandu 2015, Nepal’s first photography festival, is promoting this Special Print Sale to raise funds to support the rebuilding of heritage sites in the historic city of Patan. All funds will be directed towards the Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust (KVPT), the only organization of experts in Nepal dedicated to the preservation of its architectural heritage. They believe that that to restore this cultural center will require a much larger investment and it is the first step to make that restoration a reality.
