Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Overview
Design
In terms of design, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is largely similar to its predecessor, with minor refinements here and there. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 now comes in a boxier and flatter than the Fold 5. The cover screen bezels also look more uniform.
When comparing dimensions with its predecessor, the Z Fold 6 comes a bit thinner at 12.6mm when folded and 5.6mm unfolded. When unfolded, it is also slightly wider at 132.6mm compared to the Z Fold 5’s 129.9mm. One last change is that the Z Fold 6 comes in a bit lighter at 239 grams when compared to the Z Fold 5, which comes in at 253 grams.
The smartphone features a hinge and frame made from a tougher aluminum alloy known as ‘Armor Aluminium’, according to Samsung. Additionally, its cover display and back panel have Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Moving onto the back panel, there’s a noticeable design change: the cameras now have a black border added around each lens, departing from the previous phone’s simple raised island-like structure only. Another design update is the inclusion of IP48 dust and water resistance.
However, details such as the button, charging port, SIM card tray, and speaker placement remain unchanged from the previous model.
