Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Overview
Design and Display
Overall the Galaxy Watch 7 retains the same design as the Watch 6. You get a circular watch display on the front that’s surrounded by an even-shaped border that functions like a digital bezel. The bezel function, however, is controlled through software and is not like a physically rotating unit like in the previous Galaxy Watches.
The watch has a Super AMOLED display that’s available in a size of either 1.3 inches or 1.5 inches. The displays have a resolution of 432 x 432 pixels or 480 x 480 pixels respectively. For added durability and scratch resistance, the screen is protected by Sapphire Crystal Glass.
The body of the watch is made of aluminum and is rated 5ATM and IP68 dust and water-resistant. On the right side of the device, there are two buttons that can be used to navigate the watch’s functions as well as provide readings when measuring vitals.
Flipping it over, you’ll see the Optical Bio-signal sensor surrounded by the Electrical Bio-signal sensor which are the key components that help measure and track your activity and vitals. Plus, that’s where you’ll find the buttons to detach the wrist strap as well.

Hardware
Powering the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is a 3nm Exynos W1000 processor that has 5 cores and a maximum clock speed of 1.6GHz. Alongside the processor is a 2GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage of which 21.1GB is usable.
With the inclusion of this new processor, Samsung claims that the battery in the Galaxy Watch 7 lasts much longer on top of performing better when compared to the previous W930 processor found in the Watch 6.
Software
When it comes to software, this smartwatch runs on Google’s WearOS, but it’s customized for Samsung right out of the box. Samsung’s OneUI skin is added on top to give it a unique look and feel.
The watch, when paired with your smartphone, can also act as a camera control and take photos remotely.
The standout feature here is Galaxy AI, which brings a bunch of smart, AI-driven features to your watch. You’ll get things like Energy Score, voice-to-text summaries, and some advanced tracking capabilities. More on them below.
Health and Features
The watch is equipped with several AI-enhanced features to monitor and track your overall vitals. One of these features is the Energy Score, which provides a rating of your physical readiness based on factors such as last night’s sleep, heart rate, and daily steps taken.
Besides that, Samsung’s AI boosts various health-tracking features. It not only keeps an eye on your heart rate but also offers personalized wellness tips and sleep suggestions. Plus, it helps you get better rest by tracking your sleep and even spotting moderate to severe sleep apnea.
On top of that, you can track your water workouts with the watch’s Water Lock mode, thanks to its IP68 rating, and call emergency services with the SOS function.
One sad news is that Nepalese customers will unfortunately not have access to the entire health features of the watch and will not get ECG and blood pressure monitoring with their Galaxy Watch 7.
Connectivity and Battery
The smartwatch uses Bluetooth 5.3 to connect to your smartphone. It also has NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity.
To track you and give a more precise location, the watch comes with a Dual-band GPS that uses the L1 satellite signal alongside the latest L5 frequency.
In terms of battery, the Watch 7 has a 300mAh battery on the 40mm variant and a bit larger 425mAh battery on the 44mm variant. It supports wireless charging.
In terms of how long they last, Samsung has claimed that the battery can last up to 30 hours with the Always On Display feature active and up to 40 hours without it.
