Samsung Galaxy A52 Overview
Design
Samsung Galaxy A52 shares the same design language as the A72. There’s an S21-Esque quad-camera setup on the rear. The rear panel also gets a refresh with a matte finish rather than the glossy finish.
On the front, it has a hole-punch right in the middle and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
Like the A72, it is also IP67 rated for dust/water resistance. Furthermore, it is available in 3 colors: Awesome Black, Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue.
Display
Just like the A72, A52 has a 90Hz refresh rate FHD+ Super AMOLED panel. But it is a tad bit smaller at 6.5 inches.
Though it’s a high refresh rate panel, it doesn’t have variable refresh rate technology. So, it can only switch between 60Hz and 90Hz.
Samsung claims max brightness of 800 nits under HBM (High Brightness Mode) and is SGS certified against harmful blue light emission as well.
Hardware
Samsung Galaxy A52 is using the same chipset as the Samsung Galaxy A72. It gets the same Snapdragon 720G chipset.
For memory, it comes in 4 configurations: 4/128GB, 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 8/256GB. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD.
A52 gets a good upgrade over the A51 in terms of chipset but I would have liked to see a better chipset considering its price.

It also gets a Dolby Atmos-certified stereo speaker setup just like the A72.
Camera
In the camera department, Galaxy A52 has a 64MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide-angle sensor, a 5MP macro, and a 5MP depth sensor.
On the front, it gets the same 32MP camera sensor that we get on the A72.
While both A52 and A72 get a 64MP main sensor with OIS, A52 misses out on a telephoto lens. Instead of the telephoto lens, it has a depth sensor.
For videos, A52 can capture 4k 30fps videos from both rear and front cameras.
Battery
A52 also gets a bump up in the battery with a 4500mAh battery and 25W fast charging support.
Furthermore, it runs on One UI 3.1 on top of Android 11. With Samsung’s renewed OS upgrade policy, it will get 3 years of OS and 4 years of a security upgrade.
