Samsung Galaxy A51 Finally Arrives in Nepal. Read Our Specs Impressions!

Samsung’s A series comprised of a plethora of devices last year. Even though they were incomplete in most areas, they were still one of the most successful series for Samsung last year. Samsung’s newly launched A51 is a continuation to the same notorious mid-range A series.

In particular, the A51 is the heir apparent to Galaxy A50 and A50s, the phones that were initially considered good but overpricing ruined everything for them. And after waiting for a very long time, the heir apparent aka Galaxy A51 has finally been launched in Nepal. The Samsung A51 price in Nepal is set Rs 39,999.

So, the question that remains now is: Does the A51 follow that same philosophy or is it a new direction for Samsung’s A lineup? Well, let’s find out.

Firstly, Let’s Go Through the A51’s Specifications

The Galaxy A51 is mostly similar to Samsung’s typical midrange with few of the features borrowed from their flagship. The design is one of those “borrowed” attribute. Even though the chassis is still glastic in nature, the framework in which the chassis is constructed is similar to the recently launched S20. The Infinity-O setup on the front and the L shaped rectangular camera box are key design elements to the device.

Next up, the phone flaunts Samsung’s 6.5” signature Super AMOLED screen whose resolution tops out at 1080p. Underneath the smooth display, we have the core i.e. Exynos 9611 chipset paired alongside a 6GB internal setup. On top, the phone shows off Samsung’s new one UI 2.0, which just makes the entire setup fluid as water.

The L shaped quad camera array is a treat too. The setup is primarily centered around a 48MP sensor that obviously utilizes pixel binning technology. Completing the setup, we have a 12MP ultrawide, a 5MP macro and a 5MP depth sensor. Rotating over to the front, there’s a 32MP sensor underneath the Infinity O cutout.

And last but not least, giving power to the entire device, is a decent 4000mAh battery setup that comes in with a 15W fast charger. A couple of things to note about the device: it’s got an optical fingerprint scanner, USB type C port and a headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Price in Nepal, Availability & Impression

Well, just plainly browsing through the specifications, there’s tons of improvements the device. The Quad camera array and display are definitely the best attributes of the device. But still, the device does not fail to disappoint. The Exynos processor is okay-ish and the battery is just fairly decent. But do you know, who’s the main party pooper?

If you might not have guessed it, it’s definitely the price! Earlier, we’d predicted the price to be around 38,500 and even for that price it was totally overrated. And well, this price in which it’s actually arrived, Rs 39,999 is just overkill for the presented specifications, I think. At this price, there are a lot of other phones that provide a lot of more versatile features and better performance, for example, check out Realme X2.
