Sajha Yatayat has been comforting its passengers from its bus services. In addition to the services Sajha Yatayat has been providing, it has decided to alleviate passengers comfort with a new and exciting initiative. One week from now, Sajha Yatayat is presenting the customers with Smart Travel Card (STC), an electronic prepaid card. The STC system has been introduced on 10 of its buses that operate in Kathmandu Valley.
According to the CEO of Sajha Yatayat, Mr. Mahendra Raj Pandey, the system has already been installed and now it is going to provide the services in a full-fledged way. Also, he mentioned that e-prepaid card would be distributed to the passengers starting from next week. The card costs Rs. 200.
The STC reading machines will be present in the entry and exit door of each Sajha Buses. The passengers should swipe the card twice which means while entering the transport and making exit. Because of this, the passengers will be able to automatically calculate the distance traveled and can pay their bus fare accordingly.
Sajha Yatayat has provided the duty of installing the system in its buses to Nepal Bank Ltd. Also, those who possess the card are ought to deposit their balance at the Sajha Cooperative offices. As indicated by Sajha Yatayat, the e-card is multipurpose which can even be utilized at retail stores, restaurants, hotels, and movie theaters.
Sajha authorities said the STC system would be introduced gradually on every one of the 46 buses it owns after looking at the response it gets from the 10 buses it has already installed the system on.
