Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G Launched in Nepal—Possibly the Best Midrange This Year!

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ was a hit last year. This year, Xiaomi is continuing its momentum by bringing all the features we loved on the phone to the Redmi Note 14 Pro!

What is the Price of Redmi Note 14 5G in Nepal?

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 39,999 for the 8/256GB and Rs. 44,999 for the 12/512GB variant.

The phone went live on 13 January 2025 in the Nepali market alongside its other series members, which includes the Note 14 Pro+, and 4G and 5G base models.

Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G Overview

Design

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G has a similar outlook to its Pro+ sibling with an all-curved design. The differentiating detail between the two is the pattern on the back. While this phone has a chequered pattern, the Pro+ model has a strip of darker shade going through the middle.

As I mentioned earlier, the Redmi Note 14 Pro continues the momentum of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. Accordingly, this phone offers IP68 dust and water resistance in its price range. In comparison, the Redmi Note 13 Pro that arrived in Nepal last year only had an IP54 rating.

It also introduced a leather back finish giving an even premium look to the phone. This is, however, only available for the Lavender Purple colour option.

The Coral Green and Midnight Black options get a basic plastic back. The Black over here looks the most basic as it does not even have any patterns like the other two options.

Display

Talking of the display, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G gets the same thing as the Pro+ model. As such, it gets the same 6.67-inch curved AMOLED panel with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 slapped on top for added durability.

The screen stretches 1.5K (1,220 x 2,712 pixels) in resolution while maintaining a 446 PPI pixel density. You also get up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and a standard touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz. If you turn the “Game Mode” on the touch sampling rate can reach up to 2,560Hz.

The panel on the Redmi Note 14 Pro is a 12-bit one offering excellent colour depth elevated further by DCI-P3 colour coverage.

Other than that, this screen is capable of 1,920Hz PWM dimming, 20,000-level brightness adjustment, and has TÜV Rheinland certification for Low Blue Light (Hardware solution), Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G can also be used with wet, oily, or soapy fingers — thanks to Wet-touch technology.

Hardware

Under the hood, this phone packs the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra, which sounds like the successor to the Dimensity 7200 Ultra featured on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. However, that is likely not the case!

The Dimensity 7200 Ultra is only marginally better than the standard 7200, which is a superior chipset than the standard 7300. The 7300 Ultra will likely follow a similar pattern, meaning, it will come out to be a weaker chipset than the 7200 Ultra — unlike what the naming would have you believe.

That being said, it is still a substantial step up from the Helio G99 Ultra you got on the Redmi Note 13 Pro. It also adds 5G connectivity into the picture among other things.

Apart from that, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G comes with either 8 or 12GB of LPDDR4X memory, and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. While the phone has gained additional power and all, it has given up on the expandable storage option we previously got on the Note 13 Pro.

This phone also gets a graphite technology cooling system which will help it maintain a high level of performance for extended periods, making it a better gaming device than its predecessor.

Cameras

Similar to the display, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G gets the same thing as the Pro+ model for its optics — in the front as well as the back. As such, the primary snapper on this thing is a 200MP unit with OIS capability. The auxiliary lenses on the other hand include an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro snapper.

The front-facing camera meanwhile is a 20MP sensor.

This phone also enjoys various image-related AI features like AI Eraser Pro, AI Image Expansion, AI Bokeh, AI Cutout, AI Film, AI Beautify, etc.

Battery and AI

In the tank, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G has a 5,110mAh battery with 45W HyperCharge support. The charging speed has gone a bit downhill from the 67W on the previous model.

Software-wise, the phone boots on Xiaomi’s in-house HyperOS bundled with Google Gemini, giving it AI capabilities like Gemini Extensions, Overlay, Circle to Search, and Image Generation.

However, to access these features, you need to have an internet connection.

The Redmi Note 14 series launched on 13 January 2025 in Nepal. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G price in Nepal is Rs 39,999 for the 8/256GB and Rs. 44,999 for the 12/512GB trim. It is available for purchase at all the authorised outlets across the country.

This Xiaomi brought similar features to the Redmi Note 14 Pro, that they introduced on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. As such, it brings staple flagship features such as IP68 water and dust resistance, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and a handful of AI capabilities to its price point. Even with a 5,000 rupees price hike, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G might very well be the best midrange deal this year!
