Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in India.

Redmi Note lineup has been arguably the key range for Xiaomi. And, the tenth edition of the Redmi Series builds upon the Redmi Note 9 series.

Aside from the vanilla Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max offers the same Snapdragon 732G chipset. What else? Let’s take a look.

Design

Redmi Note 10 series share the same design language. “Evol” is what they are calling their new design.

Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max come with a rectangular camera module on the frosted glass rear. And, the fingerprint is side-mounted.

They are available in three colors: Dark Night, Glacial Blue, and Vintage Bronze. But the frosted finish is only available in Vintage Bronze and Glacial Blue color.

On the front, they have a hole-punch right in the middle of the screen.

Display

For the first time, the Redmi Note series is using a high refresh rate screen. Both, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max flaunt 6.67 inches 120Hz Super AMOLED panel.

With a screen resolution of 2400 x 1800, Xiaomi claims a peak brightness of 1200 nits on this panel. The display panel also supports HDR10 and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Hardware

What’s surprising is the fact that they are using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset that we can find on the POCO X3.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G has an Octa-core (2×2.3 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver) CPU and Adreno 618 GPU. Along with that, both phones come in three memory configurations: 6/64GB, 6/128GB, 8/128GB. They use UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM.

While the 732G is not a massive leap, it is still an upgrade over the Snapdragon 720G used on the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. Except that, they come with a dual stereo speaker setup and z-axis vibration motor.

Camera

The major difference between the Note 10 Pro and Pro Max is in terms of the main camera. The Note 10 Pro Max comes with a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor whereas the Note 10 Pro is using the 64MP Samsung GW3 sensor.

Except for the main sensor, both of them have an 8MP Ultra-wide-angle camera, 5MP Super Macro, and a 2MP depth sensor.

On the front, they come with a 16MP sensor for selfies.

Battery

Both, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max are powered by a 5020mAh battery. The included 33W fast charger can charge the phone to 100% in just 75 mins.

Furthermore, they run on MIUI 12 on top of Android 11.

Redmi Note 10 Pro price in India starts at INR 15,999 whereas the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max price starts at INR 18,999. Both of them will go on sale from 18th March.

We expect Redmi Note 10 Pro Max price in Nepal to start at Rs. 33,000. As for the Redmi Note 10 Pro, it should be around Rs. 28,000.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is offering a 108MP HM2 sensor which is a huge step up from the 64MP sensor that we saw on the Note 9 Pro Max. Likewise, both of the devices employ a 120Hz Super AMOLED panel.

They are shaping up to be quite a competitive mid-range phone.
