After months of waiting and browsing through teasers and bits of information, the Redmi K30 Pro is finally out in the market. I didn’t expect Xiaomi to reveal the devices in this horrendous situation but still, the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro has now gone official in China. The phone is divided into two factions: the normal K30 Pro and a K30 Pro Zoom.
So, without further ado let’s see what the new K30 Pro has to offer.
Redmi K30 Pro Overview: The Flagship Killer is Definitely Back!
The Redmi K30 Pro, in contrast, shares a lot of similarities in terms of form factor with its predecessor. Other than the Oreo-shaped circular camera house, everything is almost exactly as it was. There is, however, an absence of the gradient like finish and is replaced immediately by a glossy clean finish. The signature pop-up camera still remains intact, meaning the screen is completely bezel-less as well.
Talking about the display, the K30 Pro hosts an FHD+ Super AMOLED screen stretched over a 6.67” canvas. The screen flaunts an 87.2% screen-to-body ratio with a 395ppi density. However, the display still misses a higher refresh rate; which (Spoiler Alert!) is the only so-called missed feature; it tops out at 60Hz compared to 120Hz seen on the standard Redmi K30. There’s Gorilla Glass 5 on top that completely protects the screen.
Under the hood, the K30 Pro hosts an Octa-core Snapdragon 865 processor which entirely controls the device. The processor is paired alongside a 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB internal setup which come with UFS 3.0 or higher. On the surficial side, there’s MIUI 11 right on top of Android 10.

Moving ahead, the K30 Pro houses a total of 5 cameras in its skeletal structure. The rear circular frame encases a quad-camera setup; centered purely around the 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera. Assisting the primary module, is a 5MP telephoto, 13MP ultrawide and obviously a 2MP depth sensor. Reverting to the front, you get a 20MP motorized pop-up camera; which is quite fancy.
And, powering the entire setup, is a 4700 mAh battery that entirely supports a massive 33W fast charger. As per the company, the 33W fast charger can apparently get to 100% in just an hour! On a side note, the device still fancies an under-display fingerprint sensor and a headphone jack as well.
Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Overview: What’s the Difference?
The K30 Pro Zoom is a slightly permutated upgrade of the K30 Pro. So, a lot of the key features are exactly the same. The tweaks are primarily limited to the external finish and a camera sensor. The external finish is more like a matte instead of the glossy surfaces.
And the change in the sensor; is that the K30 Pro zoom has a slightly larger 8MP telephoto sensor capable of 3x zoom. The “zoom” technically refers to just this slightly improved camera sensor.
