Realme Note 60 Series Overview

Design and Build

Both realme Note 60 members look identical, with flat frames and edges, two camera cutouts, and a dual-tone finish. The realme Note 60 and Note 60x ship in Voyage Blue and Wilderness Green colours, respectively. Meanwhile, both the phones are also available in Marble Black options.

Despite looking extremely similar and having the same colour option, one key visual separates the two phones: the standard option has wavy patterns on the back, while the x-variant is plain. Also, the former is IP64-rated, and the latter makes do with an IP54 rating.

Both the phones feature something realme calls “ArmorShell Protection” — a bunch of design choices that supposedly help boost the phone’s durability.

This includes a die-cast aluminium structure, an integrated metal inner frame, reinforced front glass, coated protection film on the back panel, a shock-absorbing circuit board, component-dispensing glue, screen protection bezel, and inseal design.

Display

The realme Note 60 and 60x seem to feature the same display. However, the company has not mentioned the exact panel type. Given that TFT LCDs are the most common choice in this price range, we assume realme has gone with the same.

Other than that, the display is a 6.74-inch unit with a teardrop camera cutout. It stretches HD+ in resolution and offers a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. Likewise, the touch sampling rate on these phones can be as high as 180Hz.

The official specification page of the realme Note 60 also lists the phone’s brightness capabilities, which is 450 nits typical and 560 nits on HBM. Though the same is not mentioned explicitly for the Note 60x, we can expect the same numbers, given their similarities.

Regardless, both phones are equipped with the “Rainwater Smart Touch” feature, allowing you to use the phones even with wet hands or a wet display.

Hardware

The realme Note 60, as well as the Note 60x, are powered by the UNISOC T612 processor. It is an octa-core chipset with 12nm fabbing and a peak clock speed of 1.80GHz.

Configuration-wise, the realme Note 60x ships in a lower 4/64GB, while the regular Note 60 offers a higher 6/128GB memory-storage combination.

Even though the hardware capabilities of the phone are rather limited, they are big on expandability. They allow you to convert 8GB worth of storage into virtual RAM. Similarly, the storage can be expanded by 2TB with a microSD card.

Furthermore, the realme Note 60 series comes with a dedicated microSD card slot. So, no dilemma on whether to utilise two SIM cards or get some extra storage space.

Cameras

The optics are not the strongest suit of these phones. The realme Note 60x gets the shorter end of the stick here with an 8MP shooter on the back.

Contrarily, the realme Note 60 has a decently large 32MP camera on the back.

Both phones have an extra lens on the back. However, the company does not specify what it is for. So, it is likely nothing but a decor.

Likewise, they have a 5MP snapper on the front for selfies.

Battery and OS

A 5,000mAh battery powers the realme Note 60 as well as the Note 60x, and the charging speed on both of them is capped at the standard 10W.

For software, these phones boot on realme UI based on Android 14. You get a Mini Capsule 2.0 on these phones, which is basically a knock-off of Apple’s Dynamic Island feature.
