realme C51 Overview
Design
The realme C51 looks identical to the Narzo N55. The only noticeable difference is the flash having its own circular module in this phone. The two-tone minimal finish on the plastic back looks great and the phone is available in green and black color options.
The phone is also pretty thin at just 7.99mm and has a C-angle design for good looks and comfort while holding it in your hands. The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power button which is placed on the right side of the phone along with the volume rockers. Visually, the phone looks very premium indeed.
You also get the Mini Capsule feature with the phone which is similar to the Dynamic Island seen on the iPhones but it does lack the functionality of one.
Display
The phone comes with a 6.74-inch HD+ resolution display that refreshes at 90Hz. For a display this size, HD+ resolution means it won’t be the sharpest thing in its segment but the phone does manage to reach a respectable 560nits of peak brightness.
The panel is an IPS one and has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz and realme claims a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3%. The display does seem to have a prominent chin and the front camera is housed in the waterdrop notch which makes the phone look a bit outdated from the front.
Hardware
Under the hood of this phone is a Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset. It is an entry-level octa-core processor (2×1.8 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) with Mali-G57 to handle the graphics. It was recently featured in the Narzo N53 and that had average performance so let’s see how this one holds up.
The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage options. There is also a dedicated micro SD slot for up to 2TB of storage expansion.
Camera
In the camera department, the phone features a dual camera setup, on paper that is. The primary camera is a 50MP f1.8 “AI” camera and the secondary is a depth sensor. The phone does feature a dedicated Night Mode which is good to see in this price segment. You can shoot videos up to 1080p@30fps.
The front has a 5MP f2.2 camera and can shoot up to 720p@30fps videos which is pretty standard stuff.
Battery and OS
The phone has a large 5000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. realme has advertised a 28-minute 0-50% charge for the phone.
The smartphone runs on Android 13, out of the box, with realme UI T on top.
