Realme seems to be unstoppable with its product launches recently. They’ve managed to bring a phone to every category and each phone is slightly unique and worth the set marked price. One of its very recent releases are examples of some of their best work. The Realme 6 family were officially announced in India a few days ago and they’ve managed to make headlines! The 90Hz panel that Realme have managed to implement in a mid-range device is probably one of the main reasons for that publicity.
Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro are part of the same family. So, obviously they have inherited characters. But the “pro” model has some extra tricks up its sleeves. What are they? Well, let’s find out!
Realme 6 vs Realme 6 Pro: What’s the difference, really?
The Realme 6 is a lot like all the mid-range peers popping up lately. It’s got a polycarbonate skeleton with a vertical camera array up its back. Rotating over to the front, there’s regular punch hole notch at the top left corner. The shimmery gradient finish is quite common too. On the other hand, the Realme 6 Pro has a little bit more premium feel to it. The glass back, a pill shaped notch up front and that ‘thunderbolt’ on the rear chassis are the merits of the ‘pro’ tagline.
In terms of display, both the phones have an IPS LCD Panel with FHD+ resolution stretched over a 6.5” canvas. The screen to body ratio is maintained at 84.1% and the refresh rate can go all the way up to 90Hz with touch sensing further stretched to 120Hz. On the surface, the pair feature a stock android based Realme UI on top of Android 10.0.
It’s under the display where most of the difference takes place. Realme 6 houses in MediaTek G90T processor that’s supported well by a 4/6/8GB RAM and 64/128GB internal setup. The MediaTek is countered by a Snapdragon 720G chipset with 6/8GB RAM and 64/128GB internal. Since both the chips are equally capable, it’s not like a major differentiating characteristic and more like a transition really.

Onwards to the camera, there’s a vertical quad camera layout on one and the other. The primary is a 64MP followed by an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2 MP depth on the Realme 6. On the other hand, the Realme 6 Pro has the near identical setup with a 12MP f/2.5 module replacing the 8MP sensor on the Realme 6. Up front, the Realme 6 hosts a single 16MP selfie camera while the Realme 6 Pro houses a 16MP+8MP dual sensor in the pill shaped notch; with the later being a ultrawide sensor.
Finally, when talking about battery, both the phones encase a 4,300mAh battery and come equipped with a 30W fast charging. Apparently, the 30W charger can juice up the phones completely in just under 57 minutes!

Realme 6, Realme 6 Pro Price, Availability and Impressions
The Realme 6 Family are truly a power-packed bunch of smartphones. The way that they’ve managed to make headlines is pretty well justified when you go through their specifications. So, when will they be making headlines in Nepal? Well, they are set to launch in the 31st of March in India. If they were to arrive in Nepal, it’d probably be within the next month or so.
The Realme 6 is set to appear at a price of INR 11,999 (~NPR 21,000) while the Realme 6 Pro is set at INR 14,999 (~NPR 25,000). And if this is the final price for these phones in Nepal, I have no complaints for the device whatsoever. Why? Well, its technically because they offer way more than their marked price. A 90Hz refresh rate, Gaming chipset, a 64MP centered quad camera setup and a gigantic battery that fully charges under an hour, that’s the perfect setup!
Well, that’s what I think about the Realme 6 family. If you’ve got a good reason to undermine this phone now, do feel free to mention it in the comments below; because I found none.
