Oppo Enco W31 True Wireless Earphone Launched in Nepal – Priced at Rs. 6,990

After the Enco W11, Oppo has now launched Oppo Enco W31 in Nepal. It’s a TWS earphone which is expensive and more premium than the Enco W11.

Oppo Enco W31 Overview

Design

Oppo Enco W31 comes with a circular case and feels like a pebble that weighs around 50gms. It’s easily pocketable but it’s slightly bigger than the Enco Free case.  However, it retains type C port for charging.

The earphone itself is an in-ear style which will make sure that it fits most of the people. And, it comes with 3 sizes of ear tips.

Enco W31 is IP54 Water and Dust resistance as well. So, you won’t need to worry about it while using it in the rain or while working out.

Auto Detection and Touch Controls

Oppo Enco W31 features automatic detection. So, when you open the charging case, the connection will automatically begin if the device is already paired. However, this quick pairing is supported by Oppo phones running ColorOS 7 or higher.

It also detects whether you’re wearing the earphones and play or pause the audio accordingly.

With touch controls, you can change the audio mode from balanced mode to bass mode. Double-tap on the right side will change the song whereas triple ta will activate voice assistant.

Sound Driver

Oppo Enco W31 uses Dual TPU composite graphene diaphragm. Oppo claims that this helps to extend the reach of high frequencies and depth of low frequencies. It uses a 7 mm dynamic driver with a sensitivity of 95 dB @ 1 kHz.

It supports AAC audio codec which is good for iPhones but aptX is a better choice for Android phones.

Bluetooth 5.0

Oppo Enco W31 uses Bluetooth 5.0 and it has a range of up to 10 meters. It also uses Binaural simultaneous transmission which means that both the earphones receive signals at the same time. As a result, latency is lower and the connection is more stable.

Oppo Enco W31 uses dual-microphone beamforming, and environmental noise cancellation algorithm and an anti-wind noise chamber to ensure clear voice during calls.

Battery

Oppo Enco W31 can last up to 3.5 hours with a single charge and with the case you can get up to 15 hours of playback. The earphone has a 25 mAh battery and the case has 350 mAh battery.

Oppo has mentioned that it takes about 2.5 hours to charge both earphones and charging case from 0 to 100.

This earphone is an in-ear style that is more compact than the W11. Its playback time is 3.5 hours with a single charge on 50% volume which is decent and the overall battery life of 15 hrs is also quite good. It is actually less than what W11 offers but W31 is more compact and gives you other features such as automatic pairing.

It supports Bluetooth 5.0 which is a good thing as it means the connection will be more reliable and strong. But it does not support aptX or aptX HD codec which is very important in Android phones.

Especially Android phones with Qualcomm chipsets. aptX is an audio codec developed by Qualcomm and it helps in strong connection and low latency. And, most of the Android phones with Qualcomm chipsets support this feature.

Overall, the Enco W31 looks good but I’ll only be able to tell about its audio and connection quality once I get my hands on it.
