Pretty much every company is stepping up their game in the accessories department. Every company wants an earpod or two named after them; which has caused a lot of new AirPods clone popping up in the market. Oppo recently announced their version, the “truly wireless” Oppo Enco Free alongside their new smartphones, Oppo F15 and Oppo Reno 3 Pro a couple of days ago.
There’s a reason as to why I mentioned the “AirPods Clone” term earlier. It’s because the Enco Free that we’ll be talking about in a while is a lot like original AirPods. So, to what degree is the resemblance uncanny? Let’s find out.
Oppo Enco Free Overview: An Ambitious Attempt
The Enco is a lot similar in terms of form factor when put aside the AirPods. Aside from a power indicator imbedded in the Oppo logo, a side power button on the casing, pretty much everything is identical. On the buds, though is a rubber encasing that covers the tip of the buds tightens the grip. The case still has a hinge mechanism and the internal magnetic compositions are there too.
The Oppo Enco free come with 13.4mm ultra-dynamic speakers that are packed with dual magnetic circuits. The buds come equipped with two distinct audio modes, namely bass mode and balance mode. There are also anti-wind chambers and an environmental noise cancellation algorithm to block out background noise during calls.
The optimized functionalities on the buds are something that I really appreciate. You can slide up and down the long stem for volume control; which is pretty neat. It does come with automatic wear detection. Meaning that the music stops and plays automatically depending on whether it’s in or out of your ears. There’s double tap to pause or play the music.

When talking about battery life, each bud houses a 31mAh battery that Oppo claims, provides 5 hours of battery life on a single go. Bring the case into the equation, and you get an additional 410mAh capacity that offers 20 hours of playback time. Apparently, the case takes around 2 hours to charge fully while the buds take up an hour exact to get from 0 to 100.
Oppo Enco Free Price in Nepal, Availability
The Enco free Nepal has been up for purchase since the 17th of March. The marked price of the accessory is Rs 9,999; which is quite ambitious of Oppo, I’d say. Well, the typical layout has been pretty similar with most earbuds appearing in the market right now. So, until we get a glimpse of how the audio sounds like on these buds, there’s really no telling if the buds are truly worth the price.
So, that’s all about the Oppo Enco Free. We’ll make sure to review the device and post our opinions on the audio.
Until then, do let us know your thoughts on the device in the comments down below.
