Oppo A57 is a new 4G phone from Oppo’s A-series not to be confused with Oppo A57 5G.

Oppo A57 Overview

Design

Oppo A57 flaunts Oppo Glow design just like the Oppo A77. Oppo claims that this design makes A57 scratch and wear-resistant. The rear panel and the side frame are plastic.

The A57 is also IPX4 rated which means it is resistant to water splashes from any direction. It comes in two colors: Glowing Black and Glowing Green.

On the right, there’s a power button with a fingerprint sensor. On the left, there is a dual sim tray slot and a volume rocker. On the bottom, it has a USB Type C port, a speaker, and a mic.

Display

It has a 6.56 inches HD+ IPS panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. The screen is also said to cover 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The display has a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The top and side bezels are minimal, whereas the bottom is slightly larger.

Hardware

The A57 comes with a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Helio G35 is a 12nm chipset with Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Furthermore, it comes with a dual stereo speaker as well.

Camera

It has a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera.

For videos, it can capture up to 1080p videos from both the rear and front cameras.

Battery and OS

Like the A77, Oppo A57 also has a 5000mAh battery and it supports 33W fast charging.

The device runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12.
