Design

OnePlus Nord CE looks like the original Nord but it is slimmer and lighter at the same time. However, it uses a plastic back instead of glass.

On the front, it gets a hole punch on the top left corner with minimal bezels all around. And it also gets an under-display optical fingerprint scanner.

Display

The display is identical to OnePlus Nord as it has a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED display. It is an FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

It misses out on the HDR10 video support but it still has full sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage.

Hardware

At the core, the Core Edition of OnePlus Nord runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset. It is a fairly new SoC and is touted as the successor to the Snapdragon 732G.

It comes with an Octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 570 & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 570) CPU and Adreno 619 GPU. The SoC is paired with either 6, 8, or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a choice between 128 or 256GB UFS 2.1 storage.

This chipset also comes with X52 5G modem which makes the Nord CE 5G ready. Other features include NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, a Superlinear speaker, and noise cancellation support.

Camera

In terms of camera, OnePlus Nord CE packs a triple camera setup at the back. There’s a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide angle sensor, and a 2MP mono lens. It uses a 64MP sensor from OmniVision as the main sensor.

On the front, it gets a 16MP Sony IMX 471 sensor for selfies. As for videos, it can capture up to 4K 30fps and 1080p 60fps from the rear camera. Whereas the front camera is limited to 1080p 60fps.

Battery

The Nord CE gets an upgraded 4500mAh battery along with a 30W fast charger. The Warp Charge 30T Plus can charge it from 0 to 70% in just 30 minutes.

Furthermore, it runs on Android 11 on top of OxygenOS 11.

OnePlus Nord CE is touted as a mid-range killer but the competition is stiff. The price segment is highly competitive with the likes of POCO F3 on the top of the pile.
