OnePlus Nord 2 Launched in Nepal: Pretty Expensive!

OnePlus Nepal has launched the OnePlus Nord 2 in Nepal.

OnePlus Nord 2 price in Nepal is Rs. 59,999 (8/128GB) and Rs. 69,999 (12/256GB). It is exclusively available via Daraz and will be shipped from 27th July.

Nord 2 is the successor of the OnePlus Nord which is supposed to be a flagship killer. Let’s take a look at it!

OnePlus Nord 2 Overview

Design

The Nord 2 has a very familiar design that resembles the likes of the OnePlus 9 and the older OnePlus Nord.

Nord has the same size and weight as the first Nord. It also uses the same Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the rear and front. The side frame is made up of plastic and it also has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

It comes in three different colors: Gray Sierra, Blue Haze, and Green-Wood.

Display

Upfront, it has the same 6.43-inches Fluid AMOLED panel with 1080p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

It supports HDR10+ and has a pixel density of 409 PPI.

Hardware

Inside, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB internal storage.

The Nord 2 is also the first OnePlus phone to use a MediaTek chipset. The Dimensity 1200 5G has a Octa-core (1×3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 & 3×2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.

It also includes a 5G NR Sub-6 GHz and LTE built-in combo modem. It also has Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2, with support for AAC, APTX, APTX HD, LDAC codecs.

Camera

One of the headlining features of the OnePlus Nord 2 is its flagship-grade 50MP primary camera on the rear with OIS.

The main sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX 766 1/1.56″ Quad-Bayer sensor with 23mm f/1.88 optically stabilized lens, 1.0µm pixels, and PDAF. Then, it has an 8MP Sony IMX 355 ultrawide sensor and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M1 depth sensor.

On the front, it has a single 32MP Sony IMX 615 sensor for selfies. For videos, it can record up to 4K 30fps from the rear camera.

Battery and Others

Nord 2 is powered by a 4500mAh battery which can provide more than a day of battery life. For charging, it comes with a 65W Warp charging that can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in 30mins.

Furthermore, it runs on OxygenOS 11.3 on top of Android 11.

Nord 2 is a good step up from the original Nord with a flagship camera sensor and a very capable MediaTek chipset. However, the Nord 2 is pretty expensive in Nepal.
