Have you ever been in a situation where you accidently messed up your recharge card? Even living in a world, where we have lots of other options to recharge our phone, we still go for recharge cards. And sometimes you’re just having a bad day and mess up your recharge card. Well, I’m no stranger to such incidents.
Over the year I’ve messed quite a few of these recharge cards. And you know, it’s just frustrating cause you mostly can’t do anything about it.
But maybe now, it won’t be as much of a bitter experience when it happens, if you’re a NTC user. You see, NTC has brought forth something called “PIN Recovery” whereby you can recover your recharge card by using 6 visible digits.
As long as you have 6 readable digits in the card, you can head down to NTC’s pin recovery website and have your card recovered.
How to recover NTC PIN from Recharge Card?
It’s pretty simple actually. As you may already be aware, there are a total of 16 digits in the Recharge card. Out of those 16 digits, even if you do manage to erase 10 digits, you still need just 6 digits to recover the pin.
Just head on down to NTC’s pin recovery website, https://pinrecovery.ntc.net.np/. Then you just need to provide in the service number—your phone number really, then type in the serial number of the recharge card. After you’ve done that, type in the 6-digit serial number and that’s it.
There are some catch
But wait, there are still some minor details that you need to know before you head on down for recovery.
First is that, you have to provide the exact same position of the digits in order. Those places that have missing/damaged digits can be filled using ‘X’ symbol.
The other thing to remember is that you are only allowed to retry for 5 times. That’s the limit, if things go wrong after that, you’ll then have to visit Nepal Telecom’s CSR counter for recovery.
There’s also this one little problem for now. The so-called recovery section doesn’t seem to be online right now. So, right now the problem is still not solved. But let’s hope that it’ll be online soon.
