The local government will now be using a mobile application to communicate information. The application was originally designed for Dhulikhel Municipality by the Information and Technology Section under the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.
The application will be able to provide various information regarding the local level government including the brief introduction and statistics, GIS maps, rules and regulations, details of various on-going projects, budget, and programs, contact information of people’s representatives and employees with photos as well as the emergency phone numbers.
According to the MoFAGA, the application will also include information about the time to be taken or the delivery of certain services, the responsible officers, service charges, documents required, procedures and model forms among others. This information will be especially helpful for the general public who have to get certain government-related work done.
The application can also be used to conduct opinion polls to sample public attitudes or any issue or agenda. Likewise, the public can also register their complaints in the application.
