Did you guys know that Lenovo made smartphones? It’s not just a pc manufacturer. Lenovo is the 8th largest smartphone maker in the world. They sell some of their models in Nepal too. And they just launched two of their phones, Lenovo K5 Play, and Lenovo S5 in Nepal.
Lenovo K5 Play
Lenovo K5 Play is the cheaper one. It comes packing a 5.7-inch HD+ screen with the modern 18:9 aspect ratio. But as you can see in the renders, there is no notch here. Inside, you’ll find an entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB RAM. This means smooth performance on normal apps like Facebook and Youtube.
At the back, you have a dual camera setup with 13MP primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s a selfie camera of 8MP resolution at the front. You can expect these cameras to perform decently in good lighting conditions. You have 32GB of internal storage available to store your photos and apps in this device but there is also the option to use a microSD card instead of the second sim if you prefer to do so.

Lenovo S5
Lenovo S5 is the beefier one. The phone has a 5.7-inch FHD+ screen with elongated display ratio and no notch. Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor powers this device. And the phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. This means smooth multitasking performance and even some light gaming. But don’t push it too much.
There’s a dual camera set up at the back. One is a 13MP primary lens and the other is a 13MP monochrome sensor. These cameras will shoot satisfactory photos in good lighting conditions. The 64Gb internal storage is ample for most people. What’s not ample for most people is the battery. It is just 3000mAh and we doubt this phone will last you all day with such internals. So, if you are not around a power outlet throughout the day, this phone may not be the one for you.

These new phones from Lenovo are a good value for your money. They give you a minimal yet attractive design and good enough specs for the price only to be let down by their battery. If the battery is your priority, we think you should look somewhere else. These phones are now launched under Ambe Mobiles Pvt. Ltd., who are the new distributors for Lenovo phones in Nepal.
