Lava, though not very popular smartphone manufacturer, has been producing decent smartphones over the years. Maybe because of its inadequate advertising or maybe because of the market share being eaten by more of the big players such as Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi, this company has not been able to make a noticeable dent in its sales.
With such disappointing performance of the predecessors, we cannot expect the upcoming phones to do good in the market as well. Despite this incompetency, Lava has released yet another smartphone in Nepal, the Lava R3. This phone was brought to Nepal by Ambe Mobiles, the official distributor of Lava mobile in Nepal. Lava R3 price in Nepal is Rs. 18,499.
Specification Outline
The Lava R3 comes with a 5.7-inch HD MediaTek MT6737 Processor with a Mali T720 GPU. This powerful CPU is equipped with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It comes with an Android Version 7.1.1 (Nougat). These specs are not bad for a phone at this price point.
The Lava comes with a 13 MP f/2.2 aperture rear shooter that is capable of shooting photos with bokeh effects. It has an 8 MP f/2.0 front-facing shooter, which is also capable of bokeh effects. The rear camera is able to shoot 1080p video at 30 fps. It also has a Face unlock feature called the “Face ID”.

Impressions
As said earlier, Lava phones cannot be expected to do good in the Nepali Market. This phones surely has great specs for a phone at this price point. But, customers don’t feel secure buying a phone from Lava, because it is not established as much. However, I personally like this device. It gives you pretty decent performance along with some features that no other mid-ranged smartphone possesses.
