If you remember the brand name called Lava, I’m pretty sure that like me, most people would stay away from their smartphones. Their smartphones were not that good and were not at all worth the money. But recently, after checking out the Benco series, I don’t feel the same way about Lava anymore.
It seems as though Lava has finally found their salvation in their new Benco series. The Benco series consists of affordable yet feature-packed devices in the lower budget segment. The recently launched Benco V8 is an example of how well lava has committed to improving their lower-budget devices. At just Rs. 12,999, the Benco V8 features a mid-range processor, a triple camera setup and a huge 4,000 mAh battery. So, is there more in the device than meets the eye? Well, let’s find out in this quick look at the Lava Benco V8!
A Quick Look at Lava Benco V8
In most ways, the Benco series is all about that design. The device features an ergonomic setup with the vertical camera lined to the left and physical fingerprint sensor at the center. The front shows off a water-drop notch with minimal bezels giving off a premium vibe from the device. The phone proudly features a 6.53” IPS LCD display which tops out at 1560×720 pixels.
Under the hood, the Benco V8 features an Octa-core Helio P23 chipset; a rather powerful processor for a device at the lower budget segment. The processor by itself is quite unique and impressive but the 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage associated with it is nothing extraordinary.
The exclusion of a 3/32GB internal maybe the only actual defect in this phone as per my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good combination. It’s just that the 2/32GB internals won’t be able to take the toll as you use the device heavily. Fortunately, the phone has a MicroSD slot that can help with managing the storage.
Undoubtedly, the most amusing part of this device is the rear triple camera setup. The rear camera centers around a Primary 16MP camera surrounded by a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. Some of the sample shots do look quite good. In addition, the inclusion of a third camera in the lower budget segment in itself is quite a huge feat. So, there are no complaints in the camera section for now.
The final trump card for the Benco V8 is the massive 4000 mAh battery underneath. Don’t get your hopes up too high, because there is no fast charging on this device. In general, the 4000mAh battery should last more than a day.
Lava Benco V8 Price in Nepal, Thoughts, and Availability
Ok, so honestly, I think the device is pretty great. The processor, triple camera setup and a massive 4000mAh battery life are well worth the money. If there’s something that I’d like to see improved in this device, it’s the addition of a 3/32GB model.
Lava Benco V8 Price in Nepal is Rs. 12,999 and it was launched by INONE technology in Nepal on the 4th of November, 2019. At this price, we have competitors like the Redmi 8/8A, Galaxy A10 who provide more balanced features overall. Still, the Lava Benco V8 is quite an affordable phone that can be considered when buying a phone under Rs 15,000.
Well, that’s all about the Lava Benco V8. What do you think about the device? Do let us know in the comments down below.
