Nepal’s First Gaming Phone with Dimensity 8200 Ultimate Launched in Nepal

Infinix’s gaming-focused smartphone series, the Infinix GT, has unveiled its latest addition, the Infinix GT 20 Pro. The device has arrived in Nepal.

The Infinix GT 20 Pro is a new affordable gaming smartphone with a Dimensity 8200 Ultimate processor, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and a 5000mAh battery.

Leaning more on the gaming aspect, Infinix has marketed the GT 20 Pro as the company’s “first-ever flagship esports-level phone with dual chips”. As such, the smartphone has become the official gaming phone for the PUBG Mobile Super League in CSA and EMEA regions.

Infinix GT 20 Pro Overview

Design

The GT 20 Pro’s design closely resembles its predecessor, the GT 10 Pro. The rear panel is adorned with highlights and accents that emphasize a gamer aesthetic.

The phone’s ‘Cyber Mecha’ design draws inspiration from Nothing smartphones, featuring functional LED strips and an internal design that looks mechanical.

Moving onto the sides, the phone includes shiny metallic side rails. The volume and power buttons are located on the right side, whereas the SIM card slot, USB-C port, and the main speaker grille are at the bottom. At the top of the smartphone, there are the secondary speaker grille and the IR blaster.

Display

Talking about the display of the Infinix GT 20 Pro, it has uniform bezels all around and comes with a hole punch on the top center for the selfie camera.

The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel has a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels and a peak brightness that can reach 1300 nits. With a whopping 144Hz refresh rate, the smartphone ensures a smooth experience.

You’ll also find an optical fingerprint sensor under the display that provides access to the smartphone without any PIN or password.

Hardware

The GT 20 Pro smartphone has a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate processor. The 4nm octa-core chip has a 1x 3.1 GHz Cortex-A78 high-performance core, 3x 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 performance cores, and 4x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. Graphics processing is managed by a Mali-G610 coprocessor.

In terms of memory, the smartphone comes with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM.

Continuing with hardware, the smartphone includes vapor chamber liquid cooling, JBL-tuned stereo speakers, and a dedicated display chip that Infinix claims enhances gaming performance.

Camera

Spec-wise the camera looks good, with the main lens being a 108MP f/1.8 shooter that has PDAF and OIS. The main camera is accompanied by two 2MP depth and macro lenses. Completing the camera setup is a 32MP selfie shooter.

The rear camera can record videos up to 4K at 30fps whereas the front camera can record up to 1440p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

The GT 20 Pro comes with a 5000mAh battery that charges through the included USB-C port. The battery supports 45W fast charging, bypass charging, and PD 3.0.

Out of the box, the Infinix GT 20 Pro has Android 14 as its operating system with XOS skin applied on top of it.
