Huawei Watch GT 5 Series Overview

Design

The base model of the Huawei Watch GT 5 series is available in two size selections — 41mm and 46mm. The smaller option has a feminine look to it while the larger one is targeted at the men.

Both sizes have stainless steel chassis with ultra-hard coating and a nano-film waterproof finish. As for straps, the 41mm variant can be chosen between fluoroelastomer and woven options. Meanwhile, the 46mm model adds leather as a choice for the strap.

Moving on to the Pro version, you get a titanium alloy chassis with a single 46mm and fluoroelastomer size and strap option, respectively.

Furthermore, the standard, as well as the Pro model, is IP69K and 5ATM-rated.

Display

On the display front, the 46mm options (both base and Pro models) get a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED panel with 326PPI pixel density.

The 41mm option unsurprisingly has a smaller 1.32-inch display — also AMOLED. That being said, it has a higher pixel density of 352PPI.

All the models maintain a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and offer an AOD feature.

Health and Features

The Huawei Watch GT 5 comes with all the fitness and wellness features. You get over 100 workout modes with added accuracy from the in-built five-way navigation system.

There is also an emotional well-being app that projects your current mood through a Panda. It also helps you track your calories with the Stay Fit app.

The Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro does all the things that the base model does while adding some niche features on top of it.

Firstly, it has in-depth data on over 15,000 golf courses all around the world and assists you with golfing. It offers similar assistance for trial runners and divers as well.

The Pro model also comes with ECG, but this feature will likely be barred from use in Nepal.

Hardware and Connectivity

Huawei keeps the details of the hardware on the Watch GT 5 and 5 Pro under wraps. However, they claim a maximum of two weeks of usage with the 46mm variants. The 41mm variant, in the meantime, is capped at half the amount.

In terms of charging, you get wireless support of up to 18W.

The watch comes with Bluetooth v5.2 and lets you make and take calls. It is compatible with devices running on Android 9.0 or iOS 13.0 and later. It also packs NFC allowing you to make contactless payments.

Lastly, you can access all the fitness data from the Huawei Health app.
