Honor X9b Overview
Design
Similar to its predecessor Honor X9a, the Honor X9b has a circular camera ring design at the back incorporating three cameras and a flash. Honor calls it the watch design. Both the front and back sides of the phone are curved.
Honor says the phone is very durable and can withstand drops from all angles offering “360-degree whole-device protection.” Honor is using its “ultra-bounce anti-drop display technology” and has received the industry’s first SGS’s five-star overall drop resistance certification.

Display
Honor X9b has a 6.78-inch 1.5K (2652 x 1200 px) curved AMOLED display with a 92.8% screen-to-body ratio. The display has a peak brightness level of 1200 nits.
Additionally, it supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and has 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Honor says the X9b has a brand-new three-level protection that provides multiple reinforcements for the screen.
The display has Honor’s eye protection features including 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, dynamic dimming, and circadian night display.
Hardware
The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 which is built on a 4nm process technology. It is an octa-core processor with four 2.2GHz Cortex-A78 cores and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
The graphics are handled by Adreno 710 GPU. For memory, it has 256GB and 8GB/12GB RAM.
Camera
The back of the phone has a triple-camera setup comprising a 108MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
For the selfies, it has a 16MP front-facing camera inside the punch-hole cutout. The phone can shoot up to 4K video at 30fps.
Battery and OS
The phone has a massive 5800mAh battery and the company claims up to 3 days of battery life. The Honor X9b supports 35W charging.
In terms of software, the phone runs on Magic UI 7.2 based on Android 13.
