Hero Xoom 125 Overview

Design

The Hero Xoom 125 brings a sporty and aggressive design philosophy to the scooter segment, offering a bold look that surprises but ultimately impresses.

At the rear, the scooter sports Split LED tail lights and LED rear indicators, with the ZX variant offering Sequential LED Indicators for an added premium touch.

To differentiate itself in the segment, the company has fitted it with 14-inch wheels, a notable distinction since most 125cc scooters come with 12 or 13-inch tyres.

The Xoom 125 comes equipped with an LCD meter that displays essential information like speed, revs, time, and trip data. It also includes advanced features such as average fuel consumption and distance-to-empty information.

However, the top-tier ZX variant enhances functionality with Bluetooth connectivity and built-in Turn-by-Turn navigation.

The Hero Xoom 125 is set to challenge the dominance of the Honda Dio 125 in the Nepali scooter market.

The Dio 125 holds the title of the best-selling scooter in Nepal, both in the new and used markets. Its enduring popularity stems from Honda’s reputation for reliability and its ability to meet the needs of the average scooter buyer.

While the Xoom 125 is a newcomer, it carries Hero’s legacy, which stands on par with Honda’s in Nepal.

Performance-wise, the Xoom 125 surpasses the Dio 125, offering superior capabilities. However, the Dio’s lighter weight gives it an edge for everyday commutes, the primary use case for most scooters.

As the Xoom 125 hits the market, its rideability remains to be tested, but the Dio’s lighter frame already makes it a convenient choice for urban riders.

When it comes to pricing, the Dio 125 is currently available at Rs. 3.20 Lakhs in Nepal. Hero has yet to announce the Xoom 125’s price, but based on their recent pricing strategies, it is likely to be aggressively positioned to gain traction in this highly competitive segment.

Hero has recently aimed for value-driven pricing with its new range of products, to offset its late entry into established markets, and this approach is expected for the Xoom 125 as well.

A competitive price range of Rs. 2.80 Lakhs to Rs. 2.90 Lakhs, combined with strong performance and modern features, could position the Hero Xoom 125 as a formidable rival to the time-tested Honda Dio 125.
