Hero Super Splendor Back in Nepal with a Price Revision: Now More Expensive!

While the iconic Splendor has its own legacy, Super Splendor has captivated a different market with the upgraded 125cc engine, and IBS technology.

After its launch, Super Splendor became more popular than the iconic Splendor, especially in the Nepali market. 

What is the Price of Hero Super Splendor in Nepal?

Hero Super Splendor price in Nepal is Rs. 2.43 Lakhs. It is available in a single variant.

Similar to other Hero bikes, the price of Hero Super Splendor has gone up too. It experiences hike of almost Rs. 13,000.

Super Splendor can be termed as a successor of Splendor Plus. It comes with a better-looking body with enticing graphics along with a larger engine. It comes with i3s Technology in the engine and IBS technology in the brakes.

NGM Pvt. Ltd., the ex-authorised dealer for Hero bikes in Nepal had launched Super Splendor FI version at Rs. 2,66,000 previously. 

It had plenty of features like the Digital Analog Console, Side-Stand Engine Cut Off, USB Charger, higher 180mm Ground Clearance and 13% higher fuel efficiency.  Sadly, only the Carburetor version has been launched for now.

Hero Super Splendor Overview

Design

Super Splendor comes with an improved overall design than the Splender Plus.

Unlike the Splendor Plus’s flat and rectangular design approach, Super Splender features a round design language.

However, it continues to carry the simple aesthetics of the iconic Splendor.

It comes with a Rectangular Halogen Bulb and Halogen Side Indicators. The headlamp comes with Multi-Reflector treatments for better visibility.

The side profile looks simple with wavy graphical add-ons. It gets a Single-level Single Seat Setup. Moreover, it comes with a slightly exposed engine giving it a raw look.

The comfortable seat, lightweight, easy-to-handle ability and saree guard makes Super Splendor a perfect family for Nepal. 

The rear looks identical to the Splendor Plus. It comes with Halogen Taillamp along with Halogen Side Indicators with Multi-Reflector treatments.

Additionally, it comes in four different color options: Candy Blazing Red, Black with Electric Purple, Black with Fiery Red, and Graphite Black.

Performance

Hero Super Splendor is powered by a 124.7cc, Single-Cylinder, Air-cooled, OHC engine. It can generate a max power of 9 Ps at 7000 rpm and a max torque of 10.35 Nm @ 4000 rpm.

Moreover, it is mated to a 4-speed gearbox with 13 liters of fuel capacity.

Hero Super Splendor is built with i3s Technology which gives a good mileage of 55 Kmpl – 60 Kmpl. With decent power and mileage, it is considered everyone’s favorite in Nepal.

The i3s technology automatically puts the engine into hibernation mode when the user stops the bike. The engine then starts automatically when the user presses the clutch.

Moreover, the bike is powered by an Integrated Braking System (IBS). 

IBS is a braking system where brake components are integrated into one unit ultimately improving the braking performance with proper weight distribution in some cases.

Additional Details

Telescopic Hydraulic Shock Absorbers and Swing Arm with 5-step Adjustable Hydraulic Shock Absorbers handle suspension duties.

The dimensions are 1995mm in length, 732mm in width, and 1076mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 1267mm.

The ground clearance in the Hero Splendor Plus is 150mm. And, the kerb weight is 123 kg.

The tire sizes are 80/100-18 and 90/90-18 at the front and rear respectively. It comes with a Dual-Drum braking setup.

Hero Super Splendor Price in Nepal and Availability

Hero Super Splendor price in Nepal is Rs. 2,43,900. It is the most popular Hero bike in Nepal and is available in a single variant. Plus, it comes in four different color options.

Despite Hero bikes now being assembled in Nepal, the price has disappointingly increased instead of decreasing. Moreover, there are no improvements in bikes, and come with the same old features making the price hike unreasonable.

Moreover, FI version of Super Splendor would have been justifiable for this price.  

CG Motors might bring the FI Version Super Splendor but the price hike will affect it too.

However, interested individuals can visit the nearest Hero Showroom for detailed information.

Hero Super Splendor rivals the Bajaj Discover 125.

Bajaj Discover 125 looks more enticing in design with LED DRL. It features a higher 165mm ground clearance and a front disc brake.

Interestingly, it also offers an improved DTSI engine with higher peak power and torque and a 5-speed gearbox at Rs. 5,000 lesser price.  

As such, Bajaj Discover 125 has an extra edge over the Hero Super Splendor.

Nevertheless, Super Splendor is a beginner-friendly and easy-to-handle bike. It comes with a larger fuel tank but falls behind in other aspects.

With the recent price revision, it is difficult to recommend Super Splendor as an affordable 125cc bike when its competition cost less.
