Recently, Hero MotoCorp launched its flagship 440cc cruiser in India. Additionally, CG Motors has been named the new authorized distributor for the company in Nepal and plans to construct a Hero assembly plant in Nawalpur.
With this, there is a very high chance of Hero Maverick coming to Nepal soon!
Hero Maverick 440 is a brand-new premium cruiser lineup from Hero MotoCorp.
It draws inspiration from the Harley Davidson X440, with its engine finding its place in the Hero Maverick 440. However, performance falls a little behind producing 2 Nm less torque.
What is the Price of Hero Mavrick in Nepal?
Hero Mavrick 440 price in Nepal can be expected to be around Rs. 6 Lakhs to Rs. 8 Lakhs.
There are two important factors to consider. Firstly, the Indian price starts at INRs. 1.99 Lakhs to INRs. 2.24 Lakhs. Secondly, if Hero Maverick is locally assembled in Nepal, there may be a significant variation in the pricing.
When Royal Enfield started its assembly in Nepal, ABS was cut down to keep the price aggressive. So, there may be some variations on the specification side of the Hero Maverick 440 too.
The differences among the three variants—Base, Mid, and Top in India—are based on a few specifications such as wheel types, colors, and price. However, it is not sure which variant will be launched in Nepal.

Design
Hero Maverick 440 exudes a muscular and robust vibe with Neo-Retro aesthetics. The frontal concentration of mass gives it a commanding presence.
Hero Maverick boasts a classic round LED Headlamp paired with distinctive H-shaped DRLs, blending timeless elegance with contemporary style. Circular LED sidelights are positioned below them on each side.
It sports Wider Handlebars and a shorter Metallic Mudguard.
It features a naked engine that ruggedly exposes, showcasing its raw and industrial beauty. Moreover, it comes as a two-level, single-piece seat with a Dual Tone finish.
This bike has a Negative Display that integrates seamlessly with smartphones offering precise Turn-By-Turn Navigation, a Gear Indicator, Live Mileage, and more.
The metal construction and sturdy design elements like the Tank, Shroud, and Y-shaped Side Cover emphasize its robustness.

Additionally, the top-tier Hero Maverick features 3D ‘Maverick’ branding and Machine-Finished Engine Fins. The base and mid-tier Hero Maverick come with a sticker branding.
At the rear, the Hero Maverick features an H-shaped LED taillight.
The Matte finish on the Top variant looks sleeker than the glossy ones.
Across its three different variants, the Hero Maverick 440 offers five different color options: Arctic White, Fearless Red, Celestial Blue, Phantom Black, and Enigma Black. Matte finishes adorn the top variant with Phantom Black, while the rest colors are in glossy finishes.
Performance
Hero Maverick 440 powers ahead with a 440cc single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled, 2-valve SOHC engine. It produces a maximum power of 27.36 PS at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 36Nm at 4000 rpm.
It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and a 13.5L fuel tank.
Moreover, it produces enough torque to provide ample low-end power. It unleashes raw power, resulting in thumping exhaust sounds.
Despite having the same engine as in Harley Davidson X440, the performance falls a little behind producing 2 Nm less torque as the engine is retuned a bit.
Hero Maverick 440 features a high-tensile trellis frame, ensuring stability during high-speed touring and enhancing agility for quick maneuvers.
Additional Details
The overall dimensions are 2100mm in length, 868mm in width, and 1100mm in height.
The front suspension utilizes a telescopic front fork, while the rear suspension is a twin shock setup.
Furthermore, the base variant features a spoke wheel, while the mid and top variants are equipped with alloy wheels. Additionally, the top variant showcases an additional diamond-cut finish.
Hero Maverick 440 gets a 175mm ground clearance. And the curb weight is 187 Kg.
The front tyre is 110/70 – 17 and the rear tyre size is 150/60 – 17 at the rear.
It is to be noted that the base variant does not include tubeless tyres, while the mid and top variants do include tubeless tyres.
It has 320mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brakes with Dual Channel ABS.
The top variant Maverick 440 model features an e-Sim-based Hero Connect which can be primarily used for Geo-Fence, Vehicle Diagnosis, and Location Sharing.

Mavrick 440 faces competition from various retro and neo-retro models available on the market. Rivals include the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa 42, and Honda Highness CB350.
However, the body of Hero Mavrick, besides the Neo-Retro design, looks more muscular and robust than the rivals.
Having said this, Hero Mavrick 440 is more promising from the engine perspective. The power and torque figures are higher for this bike compared to its rivals.
