Gionee, you might have heard the name. What you may not have known is that it is a Chinese manufacturer based in Shenzen, China which was established in 2002. Shipping budget phones with great build quality, Gionee quickly jumped up the list of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world. This brand has a significant presence in countries like Vietnam, India, Myanmar, Thailand, and the Middle East and has manufacturing plants in China and India.
Gionee first entered Nepal in September 2014 through its official distributor Teletalk Pvt. Ltd. who also is an official distributor of Colors smartphone in Nepal. Gionee started strong in Nepal with their initial releases but they couldn’t do well in the Nepali market. Gionee’s mobile phones were not compelling enough to grow a consistent brand loyalty. Thus, we do not see much of Gionee these days.
However, they have released some decent smartphones. So, we have compiled a list of Gionee mobiles price in Nepal with the intent of giving you a better insight into them. The following list contains all the Gionee mobile phones in Nepal. To give you better information about Gionee, we also have included a list of Gionee service centers in Nepal.

Gionee A1 Plus
The Gionee A1 Plus is sort of a flagship from Gionee. It features a 6.0-inch FHD IPS LCD display along with a dual 13 MP +5 MP cameras on the back. A combination of 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, and the powerful MediaTek Helio P25 processor all rest inside this phone. That is a very healthy set of specs there. But they are kinda expected for the price. Performance wise, you probably will have no problem. The 4 GB RAM would be more than enough for multitasking or playing games in today’s world and the CPU is on the higher end of the MediaTek’s lineup. So, light loads will be handled adequately well, and gaming may result only in minor stutters. The secondary camera, as with most of the Gionee phones, is huge. It has a very high MP count meaning very sharp and detailed selfies. The battery on the Gionee A1 Plus is pretty large and will get you through a day of moderate use.
The phone feels solid on the hand and the fingerprint sensor is consistently accurate. Overall, this phone is solid for the price. But should you buy it? We find it hard to recommend. With Xiaomi Mi 6 which is far better phone than this in nearly every respect is coming in at around 45,000, and the Nokia 6 currently available under 40,000; you should look at these options.

Gionee A1
Gionee A1 is one of the best performing phones by Gionee A1. A midrange processor from MediaTek is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. 4 GB of RAM means that multitasking for this phone would not be a problem and since the processor is a midrange chip, the performance would be great for light tasks and it will be able to handle even some gaming. The phone is all metal, as you’d expect in this price range. The internal storage is ample at 64 GB. It can handle all your photos and apps you want to keep inside your phone. The cameras are decent and click good photos in daylight.
Gionee A1 gets many things right for the price. But it faces a very stiff competition from its larger Chinese counterparts. Some of the phones that can go head to head with the Gionee A1 are the Xiaomi Mi A1 and the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus.

Gionee S11 Lite
Gionee S11 Lite brings an updated design language to the Gionee Smartphone lineup. The new 18:9 aspect ratio gives this phone a modern and refreshing look. Although we would have loved the screen to be full HD+ instead of just HD+. The four GB of storage at the price is a great value. But the processor is an entry-level Snapdragon 430 processor. So, the performance wouldn’t blow you out of the water but it would be smooth and the phone will be able to handle multitasking well.
Gionee, as in its other phones, is going all in to lure selfie lovers towards this phone. It has become sort of a trend with Gionee to fit its phone with larger secondary camera sensor than the primary one. Gionee S11 Lite has a 16 MP front camera and a 13+2 MP dual cameras on the back. Overall, looking at the numbers, this phones will give you a great camera performance.
This is a great phone from Gionee for a great price. You should definitely take a look at it if you are looking for something at 25K category. But at the price, it directly competes with the Xiaomi Mi A1 which has a clean stock android in it, a faster processor and 64 GB of storage. You might also want to check out the Oppo F5 Youth.

Gionee S6 Pro
Gionee S6 Pro was launched in June 2016. Nearly 2 years old now. The specs on this phone are great even for 2018, though the processor has aged a little. The 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage are still spacious in 2018. Full HD resolution for a 5.5-inch screen is still good in 2018 and many smartphones come with this configuration. The cameras appear great on paper. 13 MP and 8 MP are not a bad number for a camera sensor. You’d probably be happy with the result you get. But we suggest you to check the camera when you go to buy this phone. Battery life will be pretty great because of the respectable 3130 mAh battery which is a good size for a phone of this size.
Its great to see a fingerprint sensor on any phone. The one on the Gionee S6 Pro is on the front incorporated with the home button. On the back is just the Gionee logo. The performance on the phone is… Okay. You can expect normal apps like Facebook, Snapchat, and YouTube to run pretty smoothly. But don’t get your hopes high for the latest games. It can play titles released in 2016 and possibly 2017. However, we suggest you go with phones released in 2018 like the excellent Xiaomi Redmi Note 5AI, Huawei Nova 2i, Huawei Nova 3e or the Xiaomi Mi A1 which costs just around Rs 24,000.

Gionee S6s
Gionee S6s tries to provide an experience similar to Gionee S6 Pro but at a lower price. It keeps the 5.5 inch full HD screen which we love. But the processor is now a MediaTek MT6753 which is a step below the Helio P10 found on the Gionee S6 Pro. The RAM is now 3GB and the internal storage is also 32GB only. The camera modules are the same though. Gionee S6s shares the same 13MP and 8MP sensor with the S6 Pro.
Gionee S6s seems like a good deal at the price. But Xiaomi Mi A1 has a better processor, more storage and RAM, and better cameras for nearly the same price. So the Mi A1 would be a better buy for you.

Gionee A1 Lite
Gionee A1 Lite is a phone that is hard to describe. It has a price tag that makes us believe that we will be getting something special. And it delivers that special something with its cameras. A front 20MP sensor for selfies and a 13 MP Primary sensor. There’s front flash and all that. But the screen is surprisingly just 720p, no FHD. The Gionee X1s, however, costs less and has a better processor and a better screen. It has the same RAM as the Gionee A1 Lite. So, we don’t understand how you can justify the price bump from the X1s to the A1 Lite when the X1s offers a better overall performance. You’ll have to be crazy over selfies to want to buy this phone over the X1s.
If you are looking for a phone around the price of 20K, you should take a look at Xiaomi Mi A1 which is a fabulous bargain for the price. You should also consider the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus.

Gionee S6
I don’t know why the S6 costs 29,9999 in 2018. It is just overpriced and underperforming. For a phone with Android 5.1 out of the box, keeping this price is audacious. Just save your money and buy another phone, like for example Gionne S6s, or the Gionee P7 Max.

Gionee X1s
Gionee X1s is a phone that takes all the right things about Gionee X1 and makes them better, for the price increase of Rs. 4000. The RAM has been updated to 3 GB which means a great boost in the multitasking performance. And the processor is now a quad-core 1.5 GHz MediaTek processor which means a slightly more power. The internal storage is only 16GB though. Gionee really missed the mark here. This phone would have been far more compelling with a larger internal storage of 32 GB. But fear not, Gionee X1s has a micro SD card slot to expand the storage to 256 GB if you ever need more storage. Also, it is very sad that Gionee didn’t up the screen on this phone to Full HD.
The main attraction of this phone though is its camera. The Gionee X1s has a 16 MP shooter at the front. The larger megapixel count means sharper and more detailed photos. And they also have thrown in a flash at the front. So selfie whenever or wherever. The primary camera with a 13 MP sensor too is a good performer. It takes great photos in decent lighting. With all these upgrades over the Gionee X1s, the phone would need a bigger battery to power it all. And the Gionee X1s checks that box too. The battery is now a 4000mAh cell. The Gionee X1s looks to be a great smartphone for the price. But you should check out our list of OPPO and Xiaomi Smartphones before making your purchase decision to make sure you get the best phone for you.

Gionee P7 Max
Gionee P7 Max offers surprisingly great specs for the price. I am talking about the 5.5 inches Full HD screen that is huge and pixel-dense and great for media consumption. I am also talking about the 3 GB of RAM and the 32 GB of internal storage that comes with the phone. Multitasking would be fairly smooth, thanks to a large RAM and you can go a little longer than most phones at the price on the storage front without having to buy an SD card slot. The battery life will be average with the 3100mAh battery though.
With all that said, this phone is lacking what is a must-have in any smartphone in 2018. That missing feature is a fingerprint sensor. Also, though this phone is a good value for money there are better handsets in 2018 that you would be happier to spend your money on, like the Xiaomi Redmi 5, or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.

Gionee M7 Power
There’s a reason that the Gionee M7 Power has the “Power” moniker. This phone’s highlighting feature is the inclusion of the massive 5000mAH battery. This battery combined with the power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chip, and an HD screen, can last a normal user at least two days. Which means the battery life is fantastic on this phone. But this phone is no slouch when it comes to performance either. The Snapdragon 435 can handle all the apps you would want normally like Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. It can even deliver on some light gaming. The 4 GB of RAM is plentiful for all your multitasking needs and the 64GB of Internal storage won’t leave you desperate to buy a new micro SD card as soon as you buy your new phone.
However, we have some issues with the screen. Well, there’s only one. We like the fact that it is in an updated 18:9 aspect ratio but the resolution is just darn poor for a screen of 6.0″. And at 268 PPI, the text and image will not look as sharp as the competing handsets. Also, you might not like the overlay of Gionee on top of Android but you can always put a launcher over it. All in all, if the battery is your only focus while buying a phone, this might do the job but if you want a better overall performance, there are better options at this price range like the Xiaomi Mi A1, or the Oppo F3.

Gionee Marathon M5 Lite
This phone is too old for you to consider buying it at Rs 17,999. Look for other phones on this list or spend your cash on something like Xiaomi Redmi 5 or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Thank us later. You just won’t get the fluid performance that you can expect from phones released around this price in 2018. The cameras on this phone are poor too.

Gionee X1
Gionee X1 is a typical smartphone in the under 15K price segment. It gives you a 5-inch HD screen which has a 16:9 aspect ratio, just a normal smartphone screen, nothing fancy. The body, however, is full metal. That is a good touch from Gionee. And it has a fingerprint sensor just below the primary camera sensor on the back. That is mostly missing from phones in this price range. So thanks to Gionee for adding that feature. The cameras, on both sides, are decent performers. Both the cameras are accompanied with flash which is a boon for night-selfie-rs. The battery life that you will get will depend on your use case but looking at the sheer number, 3000mAh should give this phone a pretty good battery life. Gionee X1 will perform okay for normal tasks like calls, texts, and light Facebook use.
If you are looking for a phone under 15K, keep this phone on your radar. But you should also look at the likes of Colors S11 and Huawei Y7.

Gionee F103 Pro
Gionee F103 Pro launched in July 2016. So it is nearly 2 years old now. And you know we don’t recommend you to buy a phone more than a year and half old. That adage still holds true. But Gionee F103 Pro, though old, seems like a good phone. All its specifications, the HD screen, the 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and the 3 GB of RAM are similar to the ones found in the phones of 2018 at this price. The camera setup seems to be robust too.
The performance of the phone, looking at the specs, will be good enough for most people. Keeping in mind that it is a budget handset, we expect it to run most used apps like Facebook and Instagram well enough. Battery life, however, will be poor. 2400 mAH battery with old operating system and old processor will not give you an all-day battery life.

Gionee M5 Mini
For a device that asks Rs 15,999, the Gionee Marathon M5 Mini doesn’t give back much for that price. The Android OS 5.1 is now already ancient. Ther performance from the quad-core MediaTek processor is poor. It doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. If you have Rs 16,000 to spend, spend it on the Xiaomi Redmi 4X or spend it on something like Colors S11, or Huawei Y7 and save some cash.

Gionee P5W 2017
The mediocrity of Gionee P5W may be justified by its price. Just 1GB of RAM and an ancient Android OS, the performance is, put bluntly, poor. Neither you have a larger RAM storage nor a more updated software with better RAM management techniques. And the camera modules also perform terribly compared to those from other Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi and Huawei. If you really want a phone that costs you less than 10K, you should look at the CG Omega 6 which provides a fingerprint scanner, dual primary camera setup and an updated OS. You get a bigger battery too.

Gionee P5W
Gionee still seems to keep many outdated phones on the shelf. This is no exception. We suggest you don’t buy a phone with 1 GB of RAM. Most of it will be taken up by the operating system anyway. Also, Android lollipop won’t run as smooth. And the cameras are straight garbage. SO is the battery life. This phone is old and lacks any power. Why would you consider this phone when you can get phones like Xiaomi Redmi 4A and Xiaomi Redmi 5A in nearly the same price?

Gionee P5 Mini
The price of Gionee P5 Mini is the only reason that you’d want to buy, though you shouldn’t, the Gionee P5 Mini. Otherwise, I see no reason to. The screen is not even an HD Panel, and just 1GB of RAM can’t even give you a great call and text experience because most of the RAM is used by the Operating System itself. And the OS is very much outdated. The storage would be full even before you click 20 photos. And the battery won’t be able to last you all day. This phone does exist on the market but you probably shouldn’t buy it. Just save a little more money and look for phones in the 15K price range, they provide good enough performance at a great value.

Have your say
This was the list of all the Gionee Phones currently available in the market. Some of their smartphones are a great value for money. But most of them seem to be older phones that have been kept on the shelf for too long. Gionee still releases new smartphones but they are not quite competitive. Most of their phones are a budget mid-range device and they can’t keep up with Xiaomi’s and Huawei’s offerings.
If we had to pick one of the phones we like among these, it would be the Gionee X1 for the value it provides. It comes with 2GB of RAM and a MediaTek processor with 16GB of internal storage. However, Xiaomi Redmi 4A is a far better option at this price tag.
But which is your favorite phone? Do you own any one of these? If yes, how was your experience with the phone? Would you recommend it to the TechLekh community? We value your suggestions and questions so please present your thoughts in the comments section below.
