Our taste in a modern motorcycle has changed dramatically. There was a time when we used to prefer curves and round bodies. But now, it’s all about the edges and sharpness. And, I must admit that it had been one of my guilty pleasures. Personally, that’s why Project Zero embodiment of all that with a sharp body and squarish design.
However, there’s going to be a new player in town. In about two months, FK Motors is set to launch in Nepal. Abhas Trader and Suppliers, the authorized distributors of FKM Motorcycles in Nepal, is prepping up to launch three new bikes: FKM Street Fighter, FKM Scrambler, and FKM Mini Scrambler.
As of this writing, the company is under process to bring everything together. So, everything is expected to be completed by the Fagun, 2076. According to the company, it will officially be inaugurated starting at Itahari, then the rest of the districts (including Kathmandu!).
That being said, let’s dive into FKM motorcycles!
FKM Street Fighter
FKM Street Fighter is everything a rider wants their ride to look like! Moreover, it comes with aggressive lines designed to create a unique stance in its category. Furthermore, it shows perfect ergonomics to allow riders to feel perfectly integrated and push it to its limit!
Interestingly, FKM Street Fighter comes in three different variants: 150cc, 165cc, and 200cc. Both 150cc and 165cc variants are powered by an air-cooled FI engine. Moreover, it can generate a max power of 12.7HP at 7500rpm and 12.3Nm at 5500rpm (for 150cc). Likewise, it can generate a max power of 15.0HP at 8000rpm and 14.5Nm at 7500rpm (for 165cc).Whereas, the top 200cc variant is powered by a liquid-cooled FI engine which can generate a max power of 16.8HP and max torque of 14.0Nm. Furthermore, the top-variant will feature Combined Braking System (CBS).
Additionally, you get an interesting list of features like Aggressive LED Headlamp, USD Front Forks, and Multifunction LCD Speedometer. But that’s not all! You will also get the ability to connect to a smartphone via the APP, opening countless more functions!
As for the pricing, the FKM Street Fighter price in Nepal varies on the variant. However, it is expected to range from Rs. 3,50,000 to Rs. 4,50,000. Since the pricing isn’t yet fixed, take it with a grain of salt.
FKM Scrambler
Imagine everything about the FKM Street Fighter, but in the form of Scrambler. It features a retro design without going overboard on retro-ness.
As expected, FKM Scrambler comes in three different variants: 150cc, 165cc, and 200cc. Both 150cc and 165cc variants are powered by an air-cooled FI engine. Whereas, the 200cc variant is powered by a liquid-cooled FI engine featuring Combined Braking System (CBS). Again, the performance number is similar to FKM Street Fighter.Additionally, you get an interesting list of features like Unique LED Headlamp, USD Front Forks, Leather Seat, and Multifunction LCD Speedometer. But that’s not all! You will also get the ability to connect to a smartphone via the APP, opening countless more functions!
As for the pricing, the FKM Street Fighter price in Nepal varies on the variant. However, it is expected to range from Rs. 3,70,000 to Rs. 4,70,000. Since the pricing isn’t yet fixed, take it with a grain of salt.
FKM Mini Scrambler
Finally, we have the Mini Version of the FKM Scrambler. Honestly, it looks like a fun motorcycle with a quirky design. Don’t hate me on this, but I prefer the FKM Scrambler design over the Mini. However, I find the overall design to be interesting in its own way.Unlike its bigger cousins, FKM Mini Scrambler comes in a single variant. Furthermore, it is powered by a 150cc air-cooled FI engine. Moreover, it can generate a max power of 12.7HP at 7500rpm and 12.3Nm at 5500rpm.
Additionally, you get an interesting list of features like Unique LED Headlamp, USD Front Forks, Leather Seat, and Keyless System. Basically, you get an interesting feature fairly popular for cars! As for the pricing, the FKM Mini Scrambler price in Nepal is expected to be Rs. 2,80,000. However, that’s yet to be confirmed.
Since FKM is yet to make its debut in Nepal, I’m going to reserve my opinions until I see them with my very own eyes! Until then, stay tuned!
