Facebook Developers Meetup for the First Time in Kathmandu

Facebook is not only limited to social networking, it has more to offer. For developers and tech enthusiasts, it provides several useful services, tools, and products to create applications and services on their own. Such developers, who leverage this part of Facebook are generally called “Facebook Developers”.

On 3rd April, tomorrow, Facebook Developers Meetup is set to organize. And, yeah, it is the first time this event being conducted in Nepal. The meetup aims to support, encourage and spread the use and adoption of the Facebook tools in Nepal. It offers an array of interactive sessions from professionals and evangelists using the Facebook Platform and technologies.

In this event either you socialize, network, share experience or enjoy keynotes – it’s all up to you. But, more than anything, it’s a chance to familiarize yourself with the Facebook platform and several services it offers.

This event is supposed to have sessions of 5 different topics. Topics are:

The meetup is being hosted by Mr. Chandan Thakur, Founder & Editor-in-Chief at VertextReport. Here’s what he has to say about the event,

“The event aims to ignite Facebook activities in Nepal. Facebook has a ton of technologies and offerings today, except the social network counterparts. With such events and activities, we are trying to bring a diverse range of technology in Nepal so that Nepali devs can immerse themselves into it. The event will also act as a launchpad for our group – Facebook Developers in Nepal – which is the local dev chapter in Nepal, where people can engage with Facebook tools. Either report bugs, seek help or further!”
