Changan Nevo E07 is launching in Nepal soon.

MAW Vriddhi AutoCorp, the authorized distributor of Changan vehicles in Nepal, is planning to add yet another EV to their lineup in the form of Nevo E07.

Nevo is a newly launched automotive brand introduced by Changan. Nevo completely focuses on New Energy Vehicles such as Electric and Hybrids. 

The Nevo E07 by Changan’s sub-brand, Nevo, showcases Chinese auto manufacturers’ bold strides in innovation and versatility.

E07 merges the sleek design of an SUV coupe with the practicality of a Pickup Truck through its retractable trunk feature.

This unique design tackles a specific challenge: China’s strict regulations and restrictions on heavy-duty and pickup trucks make them difficult to own and operate in many regions.

However, the demand for pickup functionality remains strong.

Nevo has addressed this need with the E07, providing a vehicle that offers the appeal and utility of a pickup while remaining compliant with local restrictions.

Changan Nevo E07 price in Nepal is expected to be around Rs. 1 Crore.

Internationally, the E07 comes in two versions: the Extended-Range Electric, which features a hybrid setup, and the Battery Electric, which is fully electric.

But Nepal will get the Battery Electric Version of the Nevo E07.

Changan Nevo E07 Overview

Design

The Changan Nevo E07 has earned the nickname “Chinese Cybertruck” due to its design, which draws comparisons to the Tesla Cybertruck.

However, while the Cybertruck boasts a bold, angular, and unconventional look, the E07 maintains the smooth curves and more familiar design elements typical of traditional automobiles.

At the front, the E07 keeps things simple. The low-sitting bumper features air intakes that help cool the battery pack. The slim, “C”-shaped LED headlights lend the vehicle a futuristic feel, while the grille serves little more than an aesthetic purpose for cohesion.

One standout feature of the electric model is its massive frunk, offering plenty of storage space under the bonnet.

From the side, the E07 presents a coupe-like silhouette. It comes equipped with large 19-inch, 3-Spoke Alloy Wheels.

Inside, the first row offers ample space and width, though the second-row space is slightly reduced to accommodate the vehicle’s pickup transformation capabilities. However, this doesn’t significantly impact comfort.

Looking at the rear, the design resembles Deepal’s L07 but with a surprising twist. A push of a button opens the overhead glass, revealing generous boot space.

The tailgate can be lowered via controls from the boot area, transforming the E07 into a pickup truck. Additionally, the boot and second-row seats can be folded, expanding the vehicle’s storage capacity even further.

Changan’s engineers deserve credit for their innovative thinking, as the E07 cleverly blends practicality with style.

Inside, the E07’s cabin breaks away from typical pickup designs. It offers a minimalistic interior, featuring a wealth of soft-touch materials throughout.

The dashboard is dominated by a 15.4-inch Adjustable Central Screen, and there’s also a Passenger Screen positioned above the front passenger seat. Furthermore, there is also Heads Up Display feature.

True to the trend in modern EVs, the E07 has few physical controls.

The steering wheel features two spokes with scroll buttons, and the central console includes a wireless charging pad along with a spacious glove box.

Performance

Nevo E07 EV is powered by a 252kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 342.6PS.

It is supported by a 70kWh or a 90 kWh Ternery Battery that offers a range of 551 Km to 651 Km CLTC claimed range.

Moreover, the E07 runs on an 800 Volts platform so it supports fast charging up to 230kW.    

In terms of top speed, it can reach a 180 Km/h mark and can accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h in 7.1 seconds.

Additional Details

Nevo E07 comes with Air Suspension Setup which can be adjusted to preference.

The dimensions are 5,045 mm length, 1,996 mm width, and 1,640 mm height. Moreover, the wheelbase is 3120 mm.

Furthermore, it has a maximum ground clearance of 207 mm. And the kerb weight is 2325 Kg.
