The upper camera portion boasts a cool radial effect, centered around the large camera ring. Furthermore, the 6.56-inch IPS LCD HD+ display has a satisfactory brightness level; however, you may encounter some difficulty in direct sunlight. Also, the color reproduction of the display is average.

Benco-S1-Pro-price-nepal

There is no doubt that the Benco S1 Pro has the best design and build quality for a phone under Rs. 20,000. It can even compete with phones priced at 30-40k in terms of design and build quality. However, the performance, software experience, and camera are not impressive. It is fine but it could have been better.

  • 33W Fast charging

  • INONE UI needs improvement

The AG Matte Glass gives it a premium finish. It surely gives mid-range phones a run for their money in terms of design. The large 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with slim bezels is ages ahead of its competition. The display is also Full HD+ resolution which is not often found on phones in this price range. However, it is a 60Hz refresh rate when others do offer 90Hz in its segment.

Benco S1 Pro gets the Unisoc Tiger T616. It is a 12nm chipset announced on January 1, 2021. It’s good for normal use cases but doesn’t provide good gaming performance. There’s visible animation lag while opening/closing apps which gives it an impression of a slow phone.

For photography, there’s a triple camera setup with a 64MP main sensor. The other two sensors are a 2MP macro sensor and an AI camera which is most likely used for depth sensing. There’s not much detail in the picture but it’s decent with neutral color reproduction.

The S1 Pro has a 5000mAh battery capacity and fast charging rated at 33W. The 5000mAh battery lasts more than a day with 6 hours of screen time. This is pretty good for a budget phone at this price segment.

The Benco S1 Pro is surely an upgrade from its younger sibling Benco S1 but it would have been better if it brought good upgrades in terms of performance. Except that, it is a good overall package. On this list of Benco phone price in Nepal, this is currently the most expensive offering.

The battery life of the Benco S1 is impressive, thanks to its 5000mAh capacity. With an average screen-on-time of around 7 hours, which translates to over a day of battery life on a single charge, the S1 has good endurance.

The Benco S1 stands out with its stylish design and modern punch-hole camera design. Furthermore, it offers the rare combination of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at this price point. The battery life is also commendable.

Benco Y11

Benco Y11 Summary

Benco-Y11

The phone brings the Android smartphone experience at a feature phone price. Obviously, it’s better to not expect much from a phone at this price range and we suggest you increase your budget if you want a better Android experience or get a feature phone.

PRICING

Rs. 6,999 (1/32GB)

Pros

  • Affordable
  • Fingerprint sensor

Cons

  • 2500mAh battery
  • Quad-core processor
  • 1GB RAM only

This budget phone brings a simple minimal design with a plastic back and a fingerprint sensor. Turning to the front you get a large forehead and chin on the phone with average side bezels. It looks like a phone from way back in 2014-15 but can’t complain much given the price. The display is a rather small, by 2024 standards, 5-inch panel making the phone one-hand operable.

The phone is powered by a quad-core SC7731E running at 1.3GHz. Performance is not its strong suit and it will struggle with even basic tasks as the CPU is coupled with 1 GB RAM and 32GB of storage.

For cameras, the phone comes with a 5MP rear camera along with a 5MP front camera.

Benco Y11 Specifications

  • Display: 5 inches FWVGA, 16:9
  • Chipset: SC7731E
  • CPU: Quad-core @1.3 GHz
  • GPU: Mali-T820

    • Video: Yes
  • Battery: Non-removable Li-Po 2500mAh battery

Benco Y11 Price in Nepal: Rs. 6,999 (1/32GB)

The 2500mAh battery will probably not get you through the day but the phone should be serviceable given its low powered performance.

The phone provides an entry-way to the Android world on a budget. It’s better to not expect much and we also don’t really recommend you purchase a “smartphone” in this price range.

Benco Y11 Alternatives: Redmi A2+, Redmi 12C, Redmi A2

Thoughts on Benco Phone Price in Nepal

Well, Benco has gotten quite active in the Nepali market. Most of the Benco mobiles in Nepal are budget-oriented and it does provide a pathway to the Android ecosystem on a budget.

Hopefully, Benco will also work on some more expensive but valuable offerings in the mid-range price segment and really compete in the Nepali market that’s currently dominated by the likes of Xiaomi and Realme. Benco smartphones in Nepal are not very popular compared to the two giants but hopefully, we’ll see some competition soon.
