Apple has announced that it will hold this year’s September special online event on September 15 at 10 am PT (10:45 PM – Nepali Time). While Apple usually announces the next iPhone’s in their September events, it’s not the case this time.
Initial reports suggested that Apple will announce the iPhone 12 alongside the new Apple Watch and iPad. But, Bloomberg now reports that this event will instead focus only on Apple Watch and iPad announcements.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who accurately reported that Apple would reveal its September event on 8th September, Apple will announce the iPhone 12 sometime in October. So, the iPhone launch has been delayed to October and there are reports suggesting it could extend to November.
Apple September Event Details
Apple’s September event will be completely virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic just like the WWDC 2020. The event will be streamed from the company’s website starting at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
While the public invite for the September event does not include a tagline, the version sent to the press simply says “Time Flies”, indicating the announcement is related to the Apple Watch, not iPhones.

Not just that, if you watch the invite video, the Apple logo looks like it’s drawn from a pencil which highlights that the new iPad is coming.
According to reports, Apple is planning a new iPad Air model with an edge-to-edge display. This is supposed to be a middle-ground between the normal iPad and iPad Pro.
The new iPad Air is also supposed to feature a Touch ID built into the power button for the first time. iPad Air 4 could also feature USB-C instead of lightning connectivity.
Furthermore, we could see a higher-end Apple Watch Series 6 and a lower-end Watch to replace the Apple Watch Series 3. The higher-end Watch could come with features like blood oxygen detection.
Apple has some other hardware this year including a smaller HomePod and a pair of Apple brander over-ear headphones which could be released as easy as this year.
Then, the supply sources also report that Apple has already begun mass production of AirTags – the tiny Bluetooth-enabled trackers you attach to your belongings in case you lose them. This thing could be launched alongside the iPhone 12 or we could see them on September 15 itself.
