Alewa Steel Launched in Nepal with Steel Band and AMOLED Screen

Nepali OEM brand Alewa recently added a new smartwatch to its portfolio, which comes with a steel band, AMOLED screen, over 100 sports modes, Bluetooth calling, and many other features.

What is the Price of the Alewa Steel in Nepal?

The Alewa Steel launched on 21 January 2024 and its price in Nepal is Rs. 5,499. However, as an introductory offer, you can get it at just Rs. 3,999. It is available for purchase exclusively through Daraz and Jeevee.

The watch comes with an extra fluoroelastomer strap, a wireless charger, and a couple of screen protectors included in the box.

Alewa Steel Overview

Design

As the name “Alewa Steel” would have you believe, the watch comes in an all-metal build. The main body is built with zinc alloy while the strap is made of stainless steel.

A fluoroelastomer band is also included in the box — in case the metal strap isn’t your vibe.

The watch ships in a single black colour option and is IP68-rated against dust and water exposure.

Display

Meanwhile, on the front, you have a circular 1.43-inch AMOLED screen. It stretches 466 pixels on all sides and can reach a peak brightness of 550 nits.

Alewa Steel does not have any sort of certified protection over the display — or at least there is no mention of it. This is why the company throwing in two screen protectors alongside the watch is much appreciated.

Health Tracking and Features

You get all the standard smartwatch features with the Alewa Steel. This includes health and wellness tracking such as heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, calories, and daily steps. The Nepali brand has included menstrual tracking and blood pressure monitoring for good measure as well.

Meanwhile, there are over 100 sports modes as well for fitness freaks.

The Alewa Steel maintains a connection to a smartphone via Bluetooth 5.3 and offers Bluetooth calling and App notification features as well.

Hardware and Battery

A dual-core AC7012/A6 CPU coupled with 640KB RAM and 128MB ROM powers the Alewa Steel. If that does not sound very impressive then that’s because it’s not.

It is what you get in a lot of budget watches, but all the other brands keep the hardware details under wraps. Alewa on the other hand is fine letting their users know about it and have their peace of mind.

Likewise, a 300mAh battery juices the watch offering a week to 10 days of usage on a full charge. The standby time is even higher at 15 days.

Once drained, you can charge it with the wireless charger included in the box. It can fill the Alewa Steel up in about three hours.
